Not so subtle attempt at deflecting blame to the club:
"The first get-together of the transport working group, which is chaired by Everton Football Club, was 2021 so they have been planning this forever".
Not sure that plan will hold, personally.
Yeah, not the first time he’s tried that. Not so subtle attempt at deflecting blame to the club:

What a fillum
Commander Steve backing the benefit cuts I see...
...note the nice bit of flag shagging from the Commander too.
Commander Steve's just dropped the Glider idea laughing at its unfeasibility.
There’s a shirky belligerence to Rotherham which I really don’t like.
With all due respect, no one in the world could guarantee what you’re asking. How could you ever ensure there was definitely some capacity left on public transport as it moves down the line. This is in no way a defence of Rotherham but even in London there are times when a tube is overcrowded and you can’t get on it.Here's my conversation with him, I had so much more to say but they pulled the mic. As you can see he's openly admitted here that he can't guarantee Merseyrail can get you the match.

More generally though, I thought the whole interview was poor from Rotherham. He should be saying how he is going to be banging on the Governments door for investment into the area, how it can transform Liverpool etc. Instead, he just blamed everyone else.
There's a match on next Saturday, btw

So ST I can see why you’ve got concerns but to an extent I kind of agree with Murphy , in that I’m not sure what guarantees could be given . Rotherham however could and should have taken your concerns onboard and sought to reassure you with information about increasing capacity with more carriages and frequency. With all due respect, no one in the world could guarantee what you’re asking.
