The squad is still massive. Would only be an issue letting those go, if Lookman forces his way out. Which is a possibility.

Onyekuru and Vlasic would be due to come back from their loans if we’re in Europe next season. If we had to we could also play Calvert-Lewin as a 5th choice winger. He’s better than Sandro anyway.

I’m not sure if we’ll see Bernard and Sigurdsson in midfield together. Think when all fit it’ll be Schneiderlin/Gomes, Gana/Davies, Sigurdsson/Dowell for the 3 midfield spots. Then add McCarthy into the mix too.

I think Bernard will play the 10 role at times but in place of Sigurdsson rather than as well as.

See what you’re saying though. I wouldn’t be totally against one of Sandro/Bolasie staying and punting the other. Just getting one of those big salaries off the books would help.

I genuinely hope he does keep him.

He might turn out to be perfectly suited for the type of game Marco wants to play.

..I genuinely haven’t seen anything to suggest he can positively impact football matches. He’s busy and a strong runner, but busy players often flatter and he’s wasteful on the rare occasion he gets in behind a defence. He hits a good ‘heavy ball’ but rarely finds himself in areas of the pitch to utilise that strength.

I honestly think his best position could be as a right back.

i really hope marco doesnt want to play any type of game that suits sandro. the fella is completely hopeless and all hes good for is corners, he'd suit a sam allardyce team rather than marco silva.

Stranger things have happened, look at Ashley Young and Valencia at Man U, both converted wingers.
