Transfer Rumour Sandro Ramirez

14 goals for a average team is good going. the defending in the premier league is laughable, he should be able to do at least that here.

yeah, people bang on about it being tougher in the prem when comparing to la liga, but when you reel off all the centre backs in the league, there's only the two at spurs that i'd actually want everton to buy. Van Dijk to me isn't worth anywhere near the prices floating around, players like bailly cost too much originally anyway and then everyone else is just fairly good, bar kompany, who can never get on the pitch.

Seeing as the two from spurs are unrealistic, i hope our shopping for a centre back or two is done outside the prem. There's plenty of goals to be scored against most teams, including our own.

Won nothing in a decade. How is that getting things right?
Erm , I was referring to Ramirez having managed alright so far despite your assertion that he's woefully one footed. Well done on getting the inevitable anti- Koeman dig in on the Sandro Ramirez thread though. :)

Yep, a lot of that crap has to be replaced and we need them replacing with realistic targets and options.

From the little I've seen of Sandro and from what others have said, especially @barneygumble who has a season ticket and @bicycleheader who would have watched a lot of him with being a Barca season ticket holder, this signing ticks every box imaginable so I hope we get this one over the line.
@barneygumble ST holder? He lives in Maghull. o_O
o_Olol

with a new goalkeeper coming in, I hope at least one of our new centre backs (assuming we sign two, of course) is from the Prem, just for ease of integration.

Keane would be perfect, as probably has experience of playing with Pickford at U21 level.

Think that's the plan.

Imagine Keane is the priority for that position, with perhaps a 'ball playing' cb to come in later in the window.

i haven't seen a lot of keane tbh, i think he's good, but in my mind, i only see him "doing a job" for a couple of years at most before he starts to become not good enough for where we're at (as i hope we'll be making good progress). I just see a desperate need to get in a top quality centre back along the lines of koulibaly for a big fee and then accompany him in a couple of years time with someone at that same level once our stock has risen.

In the meantime we have williams, jagielka, mori, holgate and galloway who can all fight it out between them for the extra centre back role, and that covers the integration aspect. Williams and jagielka will be gone in two seasons, so we'll need to buy a new starting centre back or two then anyway. I just think with the amount of activity we need to make this summer, having to buy two centre backs is a bit too much. Keeper, left back? right back? 2 centre backs? 3 strikers?, 2 or 3 other attackers? As well as selling about 7 or 8 players, is a lot of FM juggling.
