Im fairly confident this rumour about him being able to go to Atletico after a year is real. It would make sense considering the delay in this being announced. That said I hope it is a big buyout and that he reconsiders in a years time. Maybe if they sign Diego Costa, then he will stay.
That's what would be so disappointing. A top club wouldn't agree to that with a player.
It's effectively a loan to profit rather than a signing.

As a fan it would be disappointing, but in terms of a financial decision I think it would be solid, as long as the 1 year break clause amount was significantly higher than what we are paying now.
Besides, he won't want to leave once he's been here for a year anyway

I strongly suggest it's a load of tosh... as it would imply third party ownership and that is illegal in the Premier League.
