He started his career with Real Madrid, but went on to make his name with Bolton Wanderers in England and later with Fiorentina in Italy. His success at the latter club led Chelsea to sign him for an estimated £24 million in 2016.

The similarity between Alonso's career - starting at Real Madrid and going to the likes of Bolton and Sunderland, and Sandro starting at Barcelona and drifting. Look at Marcos Alonso now at Chelsea and expect the same emergence of Sandro at Everton.

It's not rocket science, I thought my point was obvious, seeing as it was made in the Sandro thread.

I don't think comparing the career of a 26 year old full back who spent 6 years playing for Bolton, Sunderland and Fiorentina with a 22 year old striker who has scored for Barca and spent one year at Malaga before moving to Everton is obvious.

In fact it's absolutely bizarre.
