....as per reports, apparently he hasn’t got the right documentation to get an EU Passport.
Cant see him getting a UK one either so this is a no go.

Mad hoe a young lad who will likely pay hundreds of thousand in tax etc during his stay in English with a proper job cant get a Visa but some places are littered with foreign people who have no intention in getting a job

Find this comment a bit strange unless its lost in translation. Meets the requirement for a community passport, which im assuming is the EU passport but doesnt have a document....... Can he not just wait or wonder if that will arrive after the window shuts?? All a bit odd
As the River midfielder does not have a community passport - meets the requirements, but does not have this document - he must receive the approval of the organization ( which has not yet arrived and that is why the pass is at risk ).
...I have no idea, TT. These things are obviously bureaucratic, the problem seems to be with the player so perhaps all is not lost.

Work permit regulations in this country are a joke. These players will be coming over here with guaranteed work in place that will be taxed at a high bracket. Of course, the reasons the rules are in place is to protect homegrown talent, but I don't see why we can't have a rule similar to the one in Spain where each club is allowed a limited number of non-EU players in their squads.
With the rules as they are currently however, signing Sosa was always going to be a long shot. A buy and loan back agreement is probably very unlikely too due to River not really needing him as it is, not to mention with their outstanding youth record they probably won't have to wait long until they have a replacement for him coming through even if Sosa does break into their team. Not to mention that we're probably a little wary of such agreements given that 2 years on, Henry Onyekuru is still no closer to getting a permit.

NHS mate do you not know what the NHS is? Not getting into a political debate on s football forum anyway. Sosa should be able to obtain a work permit for the single reason he has come here with a fixed term job and will pay a high rate of tax
