@kempo I feel like you have something to say. Reveal yourself to us.

Think you might have been living in Oz a bit too long mate.

Some people have a better life on the dole in the Uk than in there home country, not their fault , but that is a reason why someone might “ want to move to another country without work”

It's hard to shake the Leandro Rodriguez feeling, but if he comes here hopefully he'll do well.
If we pay anything remotely like the fees that have been mentioned and go through all this rigmarole with work permits he can't be anything like Leandro Rodriguez. That seemed very much just a punt with no real downside. If we pay £15m for this kid there's an enormous downside, nobody back in Argentina will be matching his wages or paying big fees for him, so we'll basically be writing off £20m+. If the reports are true, I would assume they really think he's a proper catch, not just a shot in the dark.

Immigrants are more likely to be in work than British born people.

I agree , the majority do, I’m an immigrant but the question was “ why would someone want to move to a country without work” that is one reason that some people do . Anyway back on topic .

Then you should know better than to make a statement like that, I imagine you would not like that said to you?

It’s a fact tho, some people do move to Uk for the benefits. Some not all the majority move to better their life and work hard but some don’t . Anyway this is the last reply I will post about on this , not ignoring people but don’t want to clog up the thread with off topic posts

Not everyone obviously ... question was “ why would anyone move here and not want work” that is a reason that some do. Not everyone, I’m an immigrant myself.

Fair play - to an extent - for the attempted climbdown, but you've said something demonstrably untrue, highly bigoted and you've stirred up a hornet's nest on a forum that should be united in its rejoicing at the return of The Golden God.

Probably exercise a bit more thought before pressing "Post reply" next time, would be my advice...

I get your point, but my thinking is that if it is the kind of player Marcel would have scouted for PSV, there should be a market to sell him onto and make our money back, should he not work out.

Indeed, it wouldn't surprise me if some of our young, South American imports are loaned out over there in the early days.

Maybe because they are raising children.
Maybe because they are financially well off and don't need to work.
Maybe they have to go through an asylum or refugee process where they aren't allowed to work
Maybe they are retired
Maybe they come to study.
Maybe they are looking for work in a specific area they are qualified for

Just a few reasons off the top of my head that someone might want to move to a country without work.

Well done . Anyway this doesn’t look like it’s going to happen does it? The transfer I mean
