I am aware of the history, but both clubs have moved away from that for at least the past 30 years. I was curious why it would still be considered relevant

The difference in fitness levels is quite incredible. Hearts were out on their feet after about 70mins. Full time professionals?? Really pretty shockingly poor. Or maybes Rangers have an asthmatic issue similar to another club.

The irony is I would expect that less than 20% actually practice their faith apart from Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals, all of which are a great excuse for getting sloshed.

Rangers were much fitter than I thought they would be after their midweek marathon.

Bassey was immense but I thought Scott Wright made a real difference when he appeared.

Rangers get the job done in extra time, so they have something to show for the seasons efforts. Hard luck to Hearts though.

…you say ‘this level’, but the defence he’s up against we’re just beaten on penalties in a EL final.

He takes a little getting up to speed but he’s got pace. He’s always come alive with balls played down the channels and beyond defenders but his back to goal and aerial play have improved since I last saw him.

He’s already a better option than Rondon, I have no doubt about that.

I watch Simms with a view to seeing what improvements he’s making , they are often gradual, sometimes imperceptible! His hold up play was the big improvement last season, this season I’d say his positional play has improved , and today he won more headers than I’ve seen him do. I’m still disappointed that’s he’s not an aerial threat in the box given his size . And he’s rarely used to help defend corners , with his height that should be a given and something he’d be expected to do for us. Still , he continues to improve even if it’s in small increments.
