I watch Simms with a view to seeing what improvements he’s making , they are often gradual, sometimes imperceptible! His hold up play was the big improvement last season, this season I’d say his positional play has improved , and today he won more headers than I’ve seen him do. I’m still disappointed that’s he’s not an aerial threat in the box given his size . And he’s rarely used to help defend corners , with his height that should be a given and something he’d be expected to do for us. Still , he continues to improve even if it’s in small increments.

…yep, really good point about him winning headers by getting his head on the ball without truly heading the ball.

He could be a serious goal threat if that was in his repertoire.

Lots of reports too saying that no water for sale inside the ground with fans suffering the effects of dehydration. Doesn’t sound like fun at 30C.
Just read about this. Disgraceful organization from Seville and Uefa. No water nothing allowed in. 3 hrs standing in that baking heat. They even wouldn’t allow Rangers to bring in a flag display ffs. No wonder the fans were so quiet.

….lovely pics from my son of the pre match dinner & with that handsome trophy and players at the after-match cup final party at Ibrox. Sore heads this morning.

We’ve got the granddaughters whilst him & his wife are up there but from the bits I saw Rangers deserved the victory even though Evertonians of my era have a soft spot for Hearts because of Alex Young.

Our Rangers link is moving back to the PL but it was great to have an insight into the Scottish game for a few seasons & I personally loved the experience of attending an Old Firm game.

Yeah same here, and I have a good friend who’s a Hearts supporter . My cousin and three mates travelled up from Liverpool to Edinburgh for Alex Young’s funeral and were made very welcome at Hearts, it’s nice to see them doing comparatively well again.

I'm calling keech on that one, anton.

As for the water, though it was shockingly bad organisation, I experienced the same thing in 2003. It's not great, but nowhere near the near death experiences that have been claimed. It's only a couple of hours without water. It's not Ice Cold In Alex...

Also, Sevilla say their staff were attacked by fans as they tried to replenish the kiosks with water. Would you have your staff working after they had been attacked?
