btw I condemn any bad behaviour from both sets of supporters.
Let me get this right. You're saying people coughing during the minutes silence are mocking the 66 people who died in the Ibrox Disaster? That seems quite a leap at a time when a flu epidemic is sweeping the country.I was there and it was a large number of celtic fans coughing to mimic people gasping for breath and then laughing. Perhaps 2 Rangers fans were shouting at them out of disgust which they shouldn't have done. Your talking nonsense.
Can't you just condemn fans laughing and mocking the deaths of 66 fans at a football match.
Everton supporters have ben accused by Livcerpool supporters in the past for doing that. It was nonsense then and that sounds like nonsense above concerning yesterday. "Coughing to mimic people gasping for breath"? It's winter and as others have said, believe it or not there are record flu and covid cases out there.I was there and it was a large number of celtic fans coughing to mimic people gasping for breath and then laughing. It happens EVERY time. The other 50000 in the stands didn't have coughing fits just amongst the 700.Everton supporters have ben accused by Livcerpool supporters in the past for doing that. Unbelievable.
That didn't come across on the coverage. It happens EVERY time. The other 50000 in the stands didn't have coughing fits just amongst the 700.
Complete nonsense. Your fans do it every time they have been asked to keep quiet. Only celtic fans seemed to have the coughing fits and the bursts of laughter. Children died that day including one from liverpool. It's pretty clear you and others simply don't care but you're in the minority.Let me get this right. You're saying people coughing during the minutes silence are mocking the 66 people who died in the Ibrox Disaster? That seems quite a leap at a time when a flu epidemic is sweeping the country.
I remember the orchestrated coughing yarn from a few years ago, yet there were a few Rangers fans coughing around the Ranger supporters who filmed the minutes silence. Are Rangers supporters allowed to cough during the silence, but any rival fans doing the same are regarding as mocking the victims?
I have no time for anyone disrupting minutes silences, even for people they don't like, and if anyone was deliberately disrupting the silence he is an arts hole but when someone coughing during it is deemed to be deliberately disrupting the silence it looks like some Rangers fans want to vent their spleen and will grab on to anything so they can have a rant.
You don't see any irony in supporters raging at some people coughing during a minutes silence for the victims of the Ibrox disaster, then tens of thousands of Rangers fans singing "Big Jock knew" about a man who helped the victims that day?
It was disgraceful McGarvey was forgotten about. Rangers should hang their heads in shame at that omission.Absolutely agree with remembering the dreadful Ibrox disaster. May they RIP.
No mention of Frank McGarvey was strange and disappointing
You've got to be joking. Still no condemnation of the fact that the minutes silence had to be cut short. I heard the Celtic fans with my own ears. Trying to downplay this is nothing short of horrendous. This hypocrisy carries on all the time. As for the "Big Jock knew" thing, I agree that this is also disgusting point scoring, but the difference is that it was Celtic's attempts to distance themselves from the abuse that other fans have picked up on.It was disgraceful McGarvey was forgotten about. Rangers should hang their heads in shame at that omission.
"There's nothing to see here" Are you serious? The minutes silence was cut short due to the Celtic 'fans' behaviour, regardless of whether Celtic brought a floral wreath or not.I was listening and there was a few people coughing and toddlers crying out.
Celtic brought a floral tribute.
There's nothing to see on this issue.
Most of the noise was before the end of the whistle with Rangers fans booing what they thought were shouts elsewhere.
There's been no acknowledgement of Monday's shenanigans so far."Acknowledge the bad thing you did!"
"No, acknowledge the bad thing YOU did!"
"I won't acknowledge the bad thing I did until you acknowledge the bad thing YOU did"
"No no no, first acknowledge the bad thing you did or I won't even begin to acknowledge the thing I did"
The Old Firm in a nutshell
We obviously have differing views on quite a few things, but I've seen your posts on here and you seem like a reasonable person. You can't possibly believe that the silence in memory of 66 people, including children, was cut short because a couple of people had a wee tickly cough? There are certain things which should be above our, sometimes petty, rivalry. I would confidently say that the Ibrox disaster is one of them.Let me get this right. You're saying people coughing during the minutes silence are mocking the 66 people who died in the Ibrox Disaster? That seems quite a leap at a time when a flu epidemic is sweeping the country.
