Fletcher just as a squad member surely, too injury prone and not a great strike rate, wasn't even that good in his prime, he's stole a living IMHO.

From what I've seen of him, and I admit it's not a lot, I think he's a decent player. He has decent control, is decent in the air. He's not a great goa scorer, though I would imagine he might score more goals for Celtic than Sunderland, or Sheffield Wednesday.

If Celtic had managed to sign him from Hibs when he was younger, I think he would have been a good signing.

I think he may have two seasons left, though I'm not sure.

It is down to what he wants. If he chooses to renew his contract, that would be the ideal scenario. A poster on one of the Celtic fans forums said the other day he heard Edouard wants to play out his contract, and leave on a Bosman. I highly doubt Peter Lawwell would relish that, and if that is his plan, I think Celtic would put pressure on him to go, though if he digs his heels in, there's not a lot Celtic can do about it.

i think it’s up June 22 but obviously that’s only effectively a year we’re already into this season. If you get what I mean ?

The thing is, when you watch EPL football, and in particular The Championship, any horrendous play, and there is a lot of it about, you just put down to a mistake. If you watch the same mistakes being made in Scottish football, you would use them as an indicator of how poor the league is.

For the insane amounts of money that get spunked in The Premiership, some of the play is distinctly average. I'd like to think if Scottish clubs had hundreds of millions of pounds sloshing around, they would be able to sign better players, and in doing so would raise standard of the league.
Spending hundreds of millions on players doesn’t guarantee an improvement in quality. Just look at Everton.

Come of it mate.
Take your green specs off.
Hes well past his prime.
I'd dare say it's a sentimental signing, you know what I mean.

What have green tinted specs have to do with it? Celtic aren't signing him. It makes no difference to me if he's world class, or absolute Scheidt.

The last time I remember watching him play was for Scotland, a few years ago. From what little I've seen of him over the years, he's looked a decent player with a good touch, and not bad in the air, though not exactly a prolific goal scorer. I certainly wasn't writing him off the way some Celtic supporters have been. Maybe I'm completely wrong, and he's finished?

According to Wiki, he scored 13 goals in 27 games for Wednesday lasst season, bearing in mind some English folk claim The Chamionship is quality, and the Scottish leagues are farmer's leagues, maybe he could stil do a bit of damage up her?

Wouldn’t want Fletcher, not them going anywhere near that absolute scab rat Taylor

Got to be a different option out there. 10 in a row on the line, just go and get who you can that will make it happen

I saw Lyle Taylors name mentioned on a Celtic fans forum. I've genuiney never heard of him.
