Scottish football

Gretna were only got as far as a Northern League side during their time in English football, yet in Scotland got to the SPL although they did go bankrupt that same season they were in that league.

This alone simply sums up what level of football we are dealing with here when for example Rangers play the bottom side. In the EPL, when top play bottom it’s a different affair.

Tbf you could compare both last season's champions (not saying they are anything like the same strength as Celtic are clearly a level or 67 below any premier league champions)

Liverpool however did lose at home to Burnley and Brighton who are both in the lower regions and have only taken 12 from a possible 36 points available in their last 12 games. Losing their last four home games and 6 of their last 8 home and away is proper relegation form.

I'm amazed hes still in a job. Although maybe the summer is a better time for getting the right replacement

Maybe hoping he can guide them through the transfer to one of the English leagues.

Often been said for the big two to move on they have to stop being the big fish in a small pond and move to a better and far more competitive league. League's contribute to the chances of teams in European draws having a ranking and status of their own.

It would be silly for Celtic to try to swap to the prem straight away as with their current squad they would just be completely overwhelmed and overrun, even the lower teams would think them a soft touch. Possibly initially setting their sights a lot further down wouldn't be a bad idea in the long run.

I've just heard our Sunday Leagues can restart from March 29th. So maybe the summer could be an ideal time to go for it?

Tbh the Southport and District Sunday League is always on the lookout for new sides to join, a chance for Lenny to become a big fish in a small pond down here then?

First correct decision he's made all season albeit better late than never, he'd become an embarrassment both to his team and with his own interviews. Always someone else's fault, be it Sturgeon or Covid - everyone and eveything conspired to stop him.

That trip to Dubai, taking the injured Julien did it for me. An injured player taken for no reason who subsequently tested positive for Covid, the tabloids on a jolly to get any embarrassing photos splashed, with any not so embarrassing made to look it, and Sturgeon in the midst of her Covid clampdown. Even an idiot could see a training trip to a luxury hotel in the sun was an idea to shelve for now, maybe next year would be better eh Lenny, you dumbf*ck?

Lenny as ever was quick on his toes and flexible enough to see the danger, out came the usual we do it every year (just as we have had Covid since the 1800's then?), Why shouldn't we go overseas? the travel ban only be effective a second or two after we left so how were we to know? We couldn't just believe the widespread leaks from trusted sources, how could we? To get 13 banned due to contact with the injured Julien was incredible, and it was due to Lenny's recklessness to ignore all the many red lights but speed through regardless on a mission to destroy the club, that was the final nail for me.

It's not Lenny's fault, it's Sturgeons, Gerrard's, Merkel's, Jm White's, Alan Partridge's in fact anybody but his.

How did he stay so long?

Can't say i vouch for either club, due their fanbases being beyond extreme, but may at least make it interesting going forward.

Failed at Bolton, disgraced at Hibs and yet here he was getting invited back in. I'm so glad I'm not a Celtic fan with that dinosaur board. Terrible manager Lennon though, who's the front runner to get it on a more permanent basis? Lampard? Or is it going to be someone stupid like Tommy Wright?

Disgraced at Hibs? I think not.
