Answered your own question there mate.
That's the 1st thing I noticed when I first moved to Aberdeen, who were flying high at the time.
Folk waiting at the bus station Saturday morning in full regalia for the trip to Glasga.
Families tend to drum it into there kids to carry on the tradition of following the big two, even the newco.....
Yeah, your right. I know Aberdeen are having a shocker at the mo but be interesting to see how many turned up if they hit the big times again. I've watched footage of Dundee United when they had their golden period, Tannadice was bouncing

Pittodrie wasnt even jammed during the glory years.
Although now ,if things turned, it will be packed.
Although still a lot of rangers fans up here, not as much Celtic.
Dundee United have a hardcover 5k I'd say potentially Dundee have a bigger support.
The arabs away support up here is embarrassing for a 50 minute drive.

Yep, in a normal season all over the North East there are buses going to Glasga on a Saturday, shame really for the local teams but tis what it is.

Gretna were only got as far as a Northern League side during their time in English football, yet in Scotland got to the SPL although they did go bankrupt that same season they were in that league.

This alone simply sums up what level of football we are dealing with here when for example Rangers play the bottom side. In the EPL, when top play bottom it’s a different affair.

Although I do enjoy seeing Rangers do well again after such a long time of living under Celtic’s shadow, it really is a boring league and personally I don’t find it exciting at all, most of the teams in it also are like EFL League 1 standard.
I have to agree sadly. I used to watch top class players in the Scottish League in the sixties and seventies.
I wouldn't be able to put a name to any of the faces in the Old Firm let alone the other teams - except Hibs whom I follow. The clubs are having to make do and mend with B- listers.
Actually it's credit to Gerrard for producing a good side from what he's got.

The 60s really was when the Scottish league was one of the best in Europe. It’s such a shame how far it’s slid down ever since.

Celtic’s Lisbon Lions winning the European Cup, now all that is a far cry from what the league has to offer today.

Gerrard has done brilliantly with so little, which at least keeps me following the matches.

They had a chairman who threw daft money at the team, and not a penny at their ground.
The clubs demise was a shame tbh.

I should be happy since Hibs have cemented themselves in third place but some of their play is dreadful.
It's a funny old time though so perhaps we shouldn't be too harsh.
