Slightly disappointed to see Cowdenbeath's relegation finally confirmed today - I have no special affection for them, but they're another Fife team and they've been in the league for as long as I can remember. Hard to believe they were in the Championship less than a decade ago. Still, I'm all for the promotion of teams from the Highland/Lowland leagues, as they really tend to freshen things up, so it will be good to take a look at Bonnyrigg next season.
Yes well done to Bonnyrigg Rose.
The pyramid system certainly has been a shock to the likes of Berwick East Stirling and the Blue Brasil.
It's about time tbh,all these lesser clubs just resting on the laurels ,what do they expect.
I know there is a lack of cash ,true.
But look at some of the upcoming teams ,Cove for example, opening doors for new investors is the only way.Done correctly of course.

I'm so old I remember when Cowdenbeath were in the old Scottish First Division!

With the pyramid system thats why Queen's Park decided to go professional as they were gradually edging nearer the trap door and once youre down in the Lowland League its so hard to get out of and now theyre in the Championship play off final and are 90 mins away from a second succesive promotion, if they can get something at Airdrie this afternoon. Theyre capable of doing it but think it'll be a step too far.

Hopefully be at Lesser next season. They had to change the building contractors and then changed the plans for it, so hopefully its all on track now after being away behind schedule. Theyre also doing a lot in the local community to attract more local support in.

Yes, think of all the recent additions to the league like Cove, Kelty and Edinburgh City - they've all got stuck in and have really given added value to the league, rather than simply make up the numbers. Unfortunately relegation was the only cure for clubs who were content with the wooden spoon, but even when that was introduced it seemed to do little to put a rocket up these clubs. The likes of the Blue Brazil and East Stirling were circling the plughole for long enough.

It is great to see the Arabs back in Europe without doubt folk who remember their European exploits in the 80s will be glad to see them in the mix, I hope the good times are back for them WA.

I was working p/t as a barman while at college on that night when they beat Madrid in the ECWC in 1983. The whole pub was transfixed as it went into ET, and celebrated madly when they scored and won - this in Dublin, ot known as an Aberdeen stronghold!!! :) It brought Fergie into the spotlight. Little did I think that two years later Everton would be lifting that trophy

Spiders are up.

I did say.
They were excellent today i thought, considering Airdrie finished 20 points ahead of us in the league and obv the favourites to go up, but its amazing what QP have achieved since turning professional with consecutive promotions. Hopefully now got Owen Coyle in as manager can consolidate in the Championship next season and then progress from there.

The Arabs are Dundee Utd mate, but yeah, Aberdeen were also an amazing team in the 80s. A lof of people forget or didn't know that Alex Ferguson won a European trophy with them
