Not quite sure what forum you are reading but hes not getting any patience at all from the fans.

Who have gone from demanding hes Captain to wanting him sold within 6months.

And they wonder why people cant wait to get away from this club.
There's a difference between wishing someone to be sold (the minority of fans I surmise) and discussing potential competition for him, which there currently isn't.

Seamus has been a great servant of his club and a fans favourite - include myself - but as I've said previously I worry sentiment clouds too many of our decisions.

If he can rekindle his previous form then great, however right now he's not playing anywhere near his previous standard or perhaps a standard we require.

So if that means we need to bring someone in and Seamus must for his position, then that should happen. Am I advocating selling him? No. Competition? Yes.

We saw how the sentiment for Baines and Jagielka allowed two great players over the previous decade to reach a level of demise before finally being replaced.

Kenny is worse. That's the problem. And that's why we need to strengthen in the summer.
No problem with strengthening in that position - I'd make it priority #1 this January if the right player is available - but I don't think he's worse at this point and deserves a shot.

Patience as in the vitriol has just started instead of when it should have, i.e. the Summer.

I don't see any vitriol. I don't think there's anyone who is enjoying Seamus play so poorly. In fact it's actually quite sad because it's all down to a nasty scumbag who wrecked his career.

The issue is that if you have a player well out of form, but have no one who can come in and do an adequate job in their place, then your squad is not good enough.

I agree the manager is tinkering with players and formations but more than anything that tells me he isn't happy with what he sees happening but has to work with the players he has at his disposal.
We need players in two or three positions...maybe even four.
We need to get rid of as many if not more and whereas January is a good time to sell it is a bad time to buy.
We will see what January brings but I think we will see a lot more leaving than arriving.
Next summer will be key , by then the manager will have seen his team over a full season. He will know where he needs to strengthen and it will be next season that Silva can be fully judged on the team he puts out.
What is positive is that the signings made last summer have all generally made positive contributions... some hugely so.

Maybe that's just coming from me then that finds him hopelessly woeful and wanted him replacing months ago.

Plus you can't argue we hold too much sentimentality and then proclaim his performances are sad viewing - he's just crap.

Peter Reid a legend had to go through all this.... Everton fans love our legends but not at the expense of watching them decline in front of us.

Gary Neville took 2 to games to realise his legs had gone. It's not nice but it happens to them all... Seamus has effectively had his career ended at this level. Celtic is a nice finishing club for him.

Kenny should be given a opportunity isn't that what a back up player is for if there is a injury or loss of form ?
Kenny might not be the answer but if he is given the chance he will try his best to keep the position could it be any worse

His legs have not gone, should be given a chance or two.

Completely gone. He is so unstable on them. Any burst of acceleration and he's grimacing like it's an effort... it used to be there automatic.

He looks more likely to fall over than cross it. Flat footed as per 2 deflected goals.... it's sad to see but it is there to see.

Mate I meant Kenny's legs have not gone and he should be given a chance or two.

I think it was because, he came back from his injury and has a few good games. And with big sam’s negative tactics it made us quite solid, so it looked like Coleman was doing well defensively and with a pre-season he could get back to his best

Also the other options for captain would have been jags, Baines or Rooney. And it was pretty clear a lot of the fan base wanted them 3 out of the team, so Coleman was the obvious choice.

But 6 months into this season, it’s obvious Coleman is done and needs replacing ASAP.

For me think Siggy should get the arm band.

I don't agree the fans haven't been patient. Seamus has been average-to-poor in most games since he returned from injury and yet it wasn't really acknowledged widely until recently.
