There's a difference between wishing someone to be sold (the minority of fans I surmise) and discussing potential competition for him, which there currently isn't.Not quite sure what forum you are reading but hes not getting any patience at all from the fans.
Who have gone from demanding hes Captain to wanting him sold within 6months.
And they wonder why people cant wait to get away from this club.
Seamus has been a great servant of his club and a fans favourite - include myself - but as I've said previously I worry sentiment clouds too many of our decisions.
If he can rekindle his previous form then great, however right now he's not playing anywhere near his previous standard or perhaps a standard we require.
So if that means we need to bring someone in and Seamus must for his position, then that should happen. Am I advocating selling him? No. Competition? Yes.
We saw how the sentiment for Baines and Jagielka allowed two great players over the previous decade to reach a level of demise before finally being replaced.
