Funny that the Cardiff player didn't complain about it, Warnock didn't complain about it, and MOTD didn't even deem the incident worthy of showing.

Yet the Coleman haters on here are adamant that it was a penalty. Unreal.
This would be bang on if it wasn't defo a pen

If there is VAR that will cause us a penalty. 90%.

Does anyone have a clip of it? BBC haven't shown it and it isn't on our own highlights reel, so I presume that it is was clearly not a pen or it would be included.

From where I sit in the Street End, we couldn't get a good view of it but the Park End seemed quite confident that it wasn't a pen.

The ref coulda blown.. similar to the Palace penalty for the Saha tackle..but the ref seemed to me to be determined by the divers
and was not convinced..unlike that tit Moss at OT who fell by a piece of Martial Art.

Seamus is so whole-hearted and energetic that its hard to criticize him but actually feel that he will be upgraded in the next year or
so..

Was alright yesterday, but definitely hasn't got as much pace as he used to. I don't think we could have had too many complaints if he'd had his second pen of the season given against him and then Hoillett went past him like he wasn't there late on. Mane will fancy his chances next week, to put it mildly.

@blulouie

Conceedes a pen against Palace

Absolutely rinsed at Utd

Lucky not to conceede a pen yesterday.

Add in the decline of his once quality attacking play and a telling drop in pace - you still think im wrong suggesting we need an upgrade at RB next summer?

I think if this was Jags or Baines and not fan favourite Seamus people would be demanding him out the side.

Just watched it again now.

Was a pen.

Seamus has replaced Barkely for the bedwetters
For some yes. As usual, there will be those in our fan base who will go over the top with their criticsm of players as it fits their wider agenda - it's irrational.

On the other hand however, there's also those who will not contemplate allow any criticism of a player purely for sentimental reasons - again, totally irrational.

Both of these currently apply. I keep saying it over and over again: Coleman is either great or he's awful. It happened with Barkley, Baines and countless before.

Why can't we have a fair debate? Coleman wasn't poor by any stretch of the imagination yesterday, yet he has had some questionable performances as of late.

He didn't have a terrible game by any means but he's making some bad decisions in defence. I think he's a little more wary of faster players these days because he's definitely lost half a yard.
