I hope it's just a patch of poor form, as he is a wonderful character to have in the side.

If its transpires to be a decline, we MUST sign a right back. I like Kenny but at this stage is nowhere near the level required (top 6 aspirations).

Arsenal have Bellerin, Spurs have Trippier, City have Walker, RS have Trent laaaa, Chelsea have Azpilicueta. Kenny is not even close.

That fella from Palace still doing the business?

Shame we haven't got Man City money as Wan Bissaka would be through the door straight away if I was Silva.

we key positions that need upgrading on in Janaury.

Hopefully it's more that he's unfit/carrying an injury, but if not he looks a little like he's gone off a cliff now in terms of pace and energy.

If he goes I hope he chooses to bow out at the right time like Cahill did, we tend to forget the good times very quickly in the space of 1 or 2 seasons too many, and he doesn't deserve that.

Not the same player as before having his leg broken. Shame as there was a time he was probably the best right back in the premier league.

He is right though, about sentiment not kopite. The stuff Baines and seamus have done to promote our club and the thousands of hours they have put in, we just flippantly write them off as finished and not good enough depsite the fact that seamus is only 30 and snapped his leg a year ago. It is embarrassing mate and if totally honest, the sort of thing I would expect from one of them.
Think you might have taken my original post out of context. The idea that there is no sentiment in football is not mine specifically, but of supporters in general.Everybody want's to be a Man City and once you have a billionaire owner there are no longer excuses to why it wasn't done yesterday.Back to Coleman for a moment,it is worrying when teams like Watford see him as a weak link to target (true he gets little or no support from Walcott) and if no tactical changes are made to address it,it could become a long term problem.

There was a time when we had an in form Coleman & an in form Baines both in thier prime. It was a sight to see. That was quite a while ago now though & realistically we know Seamus isn't one of the best right backs anymore. Yes he may have occasional class moments here & there that hint at a return to the good old days but they are exactly that, occasional.
I want this club to move forward now & my sentiment for a player is getting pushed further back because quite frankly, i want to win something. I want to be competitive again at the top.
This simply wont happen if we stick to players like Coleman who we all desperately want to see succeed with us.
There comes a point where you have to let go. Im not saying sell by any means but we need a fresh face, some competition, someone who can learn from Seamus & push us on to those prizes we all crave. Its time guys.

The lad has got over a massive injury so he needs to be cut some slack - Silva still needs to manage him though the season and be ready to rest him as and when required based on his recovery.
