Hes got a contract till 2022 by which time he will be 33.

His competion/replacement needs to ideally join in the window. Jonjoe Kenny needs to go out on loan he is the same age as Seamus was when he went to Blackpool ready to be back up to the new player next season. Unfortunately I don't think Kenny is quite good enough at this stage. Need a new player regardless its slightly harsh given the service received but we can no longer be a retirement home for players. If buying a new RB finds a new lease of form for Coleman maybe keep him one more season to give Kenny additional learning time. With Coleman, Jagielka and Baines all potentially leaving that will be the Moyes era officially closed. Ideally the new player would be aged 24-27 and be ready to displace Coleman right away.

We need to see when it’s happening and replace ASAP. I love Seamus but we can’t keep carrying players into retirement.

I agree as much as i love him as an everton player and fellow Irishman he is in decline for whatever reasons we need to bring someone in.

Needs to work on his “ pointing “ if he ever wants to be remembered as a half decent captain
