2018/19 Seamus Coleman

Cant be easy with that lazy get Walcott in front of him. That said, you can see he doesn't fancy taking defenders on anymore. He chops back half way line and plays the ball inside. He's becoming Hibbertesque.

Kenny doesn't look ready either (assuming he's good enough to develop).

We need to go into the transfer market.

I think his ‘exalted Evertonian’ status guarantees him a starting spot for at least another season. People love Seamus and there would be a riot if he were ever dropped. Having said that, if he is to continue as our starting RB, I would like to see him do some work on his crosses...

Time to give Kenny a go with Lookman in front of him and put Coleman and Walcott on the bench. Can't fault Seamus's attitude but he's just not performing and its looking like he won't get back to the level he was before the injury.

Seamus will always give everything to the cause, I'll give him that much. And I will never criticise his attitude. But the sad truth is that his best just isn't good enough and he needs replacing. Whether he stays as back up or gets a free transfer should be his choice.

Is it possible we’ll have a game that sees Seamus, Bainsey and Capt Jags all playing together? What an occasion...Goodison would shake to its foundations.
It would recall happier times as well...the Moyesiah period...when we were clearly the best of the rest. I miss those days...

I wouldn’t be too sure on Kenny he hasn’t done anything of note when called upon. I agree with the Lookman shout though and I would be getting someone else in to compliment Lookman and vice versa. Coleman just doesn’t look like the player we know since that leg break. Don’t get me wrong to be even playing again deserves credit but I agree with most might be best to let him go now

We can't end up in another Baines scenario - I.e. limping along with no proper competition and eventually having to make do with a player coming to the end. Seamus could just be in a bad run of form, hence proper competition is needed. I'm less convinced Kenny provides that.

I am just making a lovely pork mince, sage, pine nut, apple and mushroom stuffing for the turkey...we won’t eat til about 6pm but I am a big believer in journeying happily.
Merry Christmas everyone...we all love Everton, and even if they, on very rare occasion, disappoint us, that love is the tie that binds us...best wishes to all x

All this criticism of Coleman is total nonsense. It seems like he's being compared with his very best performances. He's still a top RB
