2021/22 Seamus Coleman

Hey, I still love Coleman. I do not think he is the giant problem at lot on here claims he is. Clearly not the player he used to be, but hes worth at least 17 Holgates and Mick Keggers on his own.
I absolutely love Seamus as well probably my favourite player of the last twelve years, but he was directly at fault for three of the goals last night,! Absolutely skinned by Sessegnon for the first, even with the benefit of a head start! Followed up with two woeful passes bringing the ball out of defence - both intercepted and within five seconds the ball was in the back of the net!
If giving away three goals isn’t a “giant problem” I don’t know what is?

What we should of done with him is what West Ham have done to mark noble. Sadly we’ve hung him out to dry season. He is done at this level, could probably start 5-10 games max other than that no. Not his fault, but the fault of the people in charge of recruitment.

We did the same with Jagielka - let him hang around until he was what - 37? Started for about three/four years more than he should. Not either of their faults but the club should be making decisions about what is plain for every supporter to see.

I'd prefer allan to be the captain i know he's had a mixed season but he actually seems to call out players and display some effort.
He runs around slowly, kicks someone, argues about it then disappears after getting booked.

I don't really "get" him to be honest. Not our worst player or anything but he has been incredibly "meh" for me so far.

3 weeks ago he put in a fantastic performance so failing to see why you've tagged me in
It wasn't to show hypocrisy. I posted all those views to underline how his form has fluctuated and to underline that he's still got a game in him.

To listen to the latest bout of scapegoating he couldn't get a game for the Dog & Duck.

He's got a game in him, he doesn't have it in him for every game though.

Depends how you play him: on the halfway line chasing Son and Harry Kane? No chance.

Play him sensibly with lines closer together and he's an asset. His aggression is still there and his link up play is very good.

No way Seamus is finished.

He is 100000000000000000000% finished and should be a sub at best.

Play him sensibly anywhere and he gets physically bullied or outpaced for every ball. It's not about pashun, aggression or anything else - he's just past it at this point and he was always a player extremely reliant on his physicality.
