But Dave he is a liability according to the experts on this Board

He is not good enough anymore … that all there is to it. Was a very good player and is by all accounts a perfect professional and role model. But time catches up with everyone and his bad games and mistakes out weigh his good ones and it has cost us both offensively and defensively

Mate I love Coleman , as a person and as the the player that he was. Same as Cahill, he’s a blue and I love him for it. Thing is, also like Cahill, he’s been kept in the team for to long. My comment wasn’t against Coleman, it was when you were saying things like “ why does frank call him his warrior and keep sticking by him “
The resin is that we have nobody else to play instead of him
How can you say that when he's gaining us points?

You make no sense.

Let's not try and re-write his poor performances. Credit where credit is due he played well on Thursday but i doubt he's got the legs to perform at that level game in game out which is why we need a replacement. Not having a massive go at him but he has been decidedly average for a few years and doesn't have enough nights like Thursday. It's the same principle as iwobi being voted motm he wasn't but he scored the winning goal. Having said all that if Coleman can turn in those performances week in week out great.

Gaining points ? Dave …. Nobody has gained point for us since September . That’s why we are in the position we are.

He has cost us goals too tho hasn’t he? Palace , saints , rs all games he has made massive errors to cost goals. He offers nothing going forward anymore amd gets skimmed regularly by opposing players.

That’s like saying that Keane is a warrior because he scored vs Leeds and helped us win , and then ignoring all the F ups that have cost us.

Or like saying we can’t criticise iwobi because he has just scored the winner …

Almost the entire squad is not good enough hence why we are fighting for our lives and also why nobody wants to buy our players

Jeez I bet you are a bundle of joy to sit next too at the match.

I see that the usual suspects are out in force thanks to a decent 2nd half and one great moment in the game.

This season he's now achieved 1.5 decent games, two great moments and suddenly he's a "legend".

Praise where its due for those instances of quality...minimum of 12 games left now, lets see if he can turn in above average performances for 6 of them.

Thats not happened for 5 years...a year more than Rondon.

£75k a week im guessing for 5 years is about £20mil in wages.

The alternative being what, playing a kid who cant defend and can't position himself in a season we're trying to stay up. Brilliant thinking. If the kid you like was any good hed be playing - hes been here 2mths and cant get gametime because (a) hes either too good and he'll show the rest of the team up or (b) nowhere near ready for premiership football. Shows just how crap a signing THIS January Patterson was if he cant get on in front of this 1/10 player you refer too tirelessly. The only pitchtime this kid will see until we're safe is when he comes on at halftime in his housecoat and slippers to fetch the ball for Rondon. We need to stay up and due to recruitment failures year upon year Coleman is still our best rb. An inconvenient truth for some but theres always tomorrow - 33yr old Seamus HAVING to play 3 times in a week - hope the haters dont get to gloat, - Id rather see us win. UTFT, Slainte.

Pathetic.

Why do you say Patterson cant defend or position himself?

Thats a strange take that im yet to hear from either a Rangers or Scotland fan.

At the end you mention "gloating" -- you seem to be the one gloating that Patterson isnt getting games over Coleman.

Im certainly not gloating when Coleman plays badly...im angered by it and his attitude in most of the games he plays.
