Seamus has been a true captain and the one we have needed through this stretch. His body isnt what it once was and hes clearly cant match the skill of many others, but man he will fight for it more than half our team combined. We would be in the relegation zone if it wasnt for him right now, so Patterson doesnt have much of a chance of playing this season.

Every manager he has played for is mad about him. Our players are mad about him. But some self appointed experts on here claim to know better.

It's a lovely well created goal isn't it? We are capable of nice footy
That's the way we have to do it: People complaining on the telly about a lack of chances etc...they are games we'll be beaten in.

We have to extinguish the threat of opponents at Goodison and limit their chances and then capitalise on one we create.

Job done.

Look at the drive and determination to strip the ball away from 'legend in his own living room' Saint-Maximin here....absolute quality this:

Seamus is like "GTF you over-rated show pony" - BANG.

LEGEND is Seamus - had the scroat in his pocket and when his legs were tiring he organised iwobi between them to cut out space for asm to move with leadership and experience.

And none of that is down to him. He gives his all week in and week out, and in two games in the last month his efforts have proven the difference for us.

I'll say it again: if that Galloot Ferguson is considered a legend by a lot of Evertonians, Coleman is most definitley a legend.

...and let me tell you about Ferguson - in our relegation threatened season of 97/98 he went missing...he was a no show for that fight - one he didn't have the stomach for. He continually got himself suspended and at times left us with 10 men to fight for our lives.

If anyone wants to call him a legend and fail to hand it to Coleman...or worse...actually abuse Coleman in his twilight years for the club....they need to have a massive 'kin word with themselves. Coleman will NEVER duck out of this fight and NEVER shirk his responsibilities to us.

Treasure this feller, because we wont get value and loyalty from a player like this too many times again.

Mate I love Coleman , as a person and as the the player that he was. Same as Cahill, he’s a blue and I love him for it. Thing is, also like Cahill, he’s been kept in the team for to long. My comment wasn’t against Coleman, it was when you were saying things like “ why does frank call him his warrior and keep sticking by him “
The resin is that we have nobody else to play instead of him
