Carlo loved him, Frank said he was the best man hes ever met.

Thats good enough for me.

But what do they know?? Compared with the fountains of footballing genius on here that crawl out anytime he makes a mistake. Every player makes mistakes.

I have seen nothing from the haters regarding Zaha being in his pocket on Thursday - that wouldn't suit the narrative.

Oh and apparently if a genuine group of Evertonians point out in reasonable ways the huge value that he has been to Everton, we are "Coleman's Mafia".

Pathetic - and that kind of rubbish belongs on rawk

… I think ’we all know playing wise he was finished 2 years ago at top level’ is a lazy and throwaway line.

If you are speaking for ‘all’ I certainly don’t think that way. I agree he’s not the player he was but he’s certainly our best RB and certainly nowhere near the worst in the PL. There have actually been spells of decent form in the past few seasons.

i‘m more than happy to see him here next season, hopefully supporting the emergence of Patterson.
I'm sure you have used lazy comments as well when posting ;).

So let me readdress my comment. My own personal opinion is he is nowhere near good enough as a starting right back for a club who wants to finish in the top half of the premiership not to mind challenge for any european position or silverware.

I agree that he is currently the best right back in the squad.Thats worrying and says it all about jj kenny.

Regardless of whether Coleman is past his best now and of the quality required to play at this level. He has been a great captain and is a fantastic human being.

It's not his fault that Everton have a habit of not finding suitable replacements not and phasing solid players out into back up roles.

I hate to see when players that have been so good to us for a decade start getting stick unfairly after their devotion to the club

How did it go without Coleman in the lineup? Swimmingly fantastically improved backline, is it?

He may be getting old and prone to mistakes and as so many people who have said it before me, It's not his fault that he is not replaced by the club or gets picked by every manager who gets the Everton chair.

Not..his..fault... Get that through the thick heads. Does he need replacement? Yes. But based on the tenor of some on here, he is also responsible for going out and finding his own replacement as the club ain't doing it. And because he is not scouting his own replacement, he is a <insert-whichever-derogatoryterm>...

"Debating" ie resorting to insults when you disagree with someone.
Hmmm. but it's OK to insult a player because you don't like what he's offering, and you don't want to be arxed about what the Managers are saying. Of course, those insulting the player might know "more football" and it's intricacies more than the actual people in the hot seat. Then they should be applying to be Everton's next manager, rather than yapping about it here.
