He should retire in shame.
He doesn't have a choice and neither do Everton if he is called up. Christ you really hate him don't you? Why shouldn't he want to play for his country ?Yet he has no qualms about flying around Europe for Ireland on international duty
Apparently asked for his own replacement 2 years ago and said he doesn't have the legs to keep up multiple games a week at the top level.
It’s a theme at Everton now. Howard, Baines, Coleman all kept in the first 11 long past their best because we simply fail to proactively replace them. Then fans turn on them despite the many good years they’ve put in. It’s not their fault. It’s the ineptitude on the board room. Coleman has never given less than 100%. It’s not his fault he still has to play every weekendLeaving him hanging out to dry. Should be in a position to play ~ 1500minutes in all comps, provide senior leadership, but let the next generation in .
But we didn’t get that guy.
Jagielka too, anger should be directed at the club not the players. The mismanagement of basically everything at Everton is utterly ridiculous. It’s a theme at Everton now. True, but anyone who called for Seamus to be moved on three years ago because he was in decline was essentially shouted down. Evertonians refuse to accept that each player has a shelf life and we need to be making something back on them before they go into abject obsolescence. We are far too sentimental. Coleman peaked by 2017. But here he is with a new contract driving a clown car. We get what we deserve.Howardesque at the end of his career
Imagine having a balloon head like Moshiri running your club thoImagine if you were a player and this guy was your captain, you essentially had to answer to him. A guy that can’t kick the ball in a straight line up the pitch. What sort of a message does that send out, what sort of example does that set? Your captain should be able to lead by example as a footballer, he should be one of your better players, you shouldn’t just be captain because you’re old and the chairman loves you.
...and yet he signed an extension in July? If he loves the club and he said that, not a chance is he signing a new contractApparently asked for his own replacement 2 years ago and said he doesn't have the legs to keep up multiple games a week at the top level
Should realise nobody at Everton cares enough about him or the club to let him bow out slowly and with some grace with the odd cup game and that, and instead pull the plug himself.
Convinced we'll see that at the end of the season, tbh.
