Whether you blame the manger for playing him instead of Digne. No yes the manager picked the team and formation and needs sacking tonight.

But how after 2 mins he’s holding hands with Holgate in the box and and leaves their RB in acres of space to take a touch and cross it into the box. Yes our CB’s should have done better with the cross, but you’re a wing back get out there and do your job. Absolutely braindead.

A wing back system you wing back who can attack and go forward and at least one CB who’s technically great and can drive forward into midfield, as you should always have a spare man, we had neither.

I know mate, he's been a proper player for us but the very fact he's still one of the first on the teamsheet speaks volumes about what's wrong with the club.

Firstly I will say I think it is despicable that posters should be pointing the finger ar Seamus Coleman for his display at left back in a five man defence today. Coleman is a has been an impeccable servant of Everton Football Club and should only be held in the highest esteem. He doesn’t pick himself, if he did pick himself I am sure he wouldn’t pick himself at left back in a five. This is all Benitez, he has allowed his club captain and a person who has more thought for his club in his little finger than Benitez will ever will have to be held up to ridicule. By taking 17 days to come up with todays tactics and formation while allowing an established French international left back to sit on the bench just to prove you are in charge is beneath contempt. I’m afraid that if you have to resort to this sort of treatment of players to keep control of the dressing room then you have already lost and you should either resign or be sacked.

First 5 minutes apart, I for the life of me can't see how Colman's performance merits the attraction of so much criticism. I certainly can't recall any other period when you could say he was guilty of making errors that were creating difficulties at the back. That said, of course there is a strong case for replacement. And having seen the lad on a number of occasions, Patterson is the man. I'm just amazed we're front of the queue for him.

Against West Ham he was the only one who finally had a go at them, after ages of sitting off by the whole team.

Yesterday, he was still the best of a crap group of defenders. To compare him with Rondon is frankly childish and irrational.
