I imagine he's taken a reduced wage, it's normal for players who know they're at the end of their career. Especially as he doesn't want to leave.
I imagine it too, but the reality is we're Sentimentality FC still, so I have no doubt we'll shoot ourselves in the foot as he's a Top Blue.
 
Saw an interview with Tony Adams the other day, talking about how he turned down an extension at Arsenal because you've got to be honest with yourself when you can't justify your place anymore. Similar to Gary Neville accepting he was done at half-time in that game against West Brom.

Same people: happy for Coleman staying for a year to be a cheerleader paid a good mil a year.
 
I can’t understand why is he still playing for Ireland, if he thinks anything of the club as he say he does then why is he not focusing on playing for and keeping fit for the club who has paid his wages for the past decade.
