He could have gone into coaching, backroom staff. OK he won't be paid as well, but he'd still be paid more than most. Certainly enough to pay the bills.

The sharks circling him are bang out of order. Even if he hung on for this season and got a few appearances for us he'd have deserved his final year contract given his service to this club over the 16 years he's been here.

My money is on him playing half the games if we get no decent RB in before deadline day, and he'll be solid in almost all them.

Coleman shouldn’t have been on the pitch in the first place, that’s the point. We wasted a sub replacing him because he’s been falling apart for years. Yet Dyche will keep picking him when he’s fit instead of sitting down with Thelwell and addressing the issue.

The truth is though is his legs are gone and can't stay fit and we should have signed his replacement 4/5 years ago when it was obvious he was slowing down
