2024/25 Seamus Coleman

The Biggest Bluffer in World Football

Been getting away with it for nigh on decades now.

Self aggrandisement to the max.

Honestly, the worst player in Premier League history.

All he really cares about is his bank balance and the nice guy act is purely to that end.

Total fraud. đź’©

I wouldn’t go this far like. But yes, certainly contributes nothing and pulls the wool over fans eyes with his “passion”

Off on international duty now despite turning 36 next month. Could’ve give that up to focus on us, been paying him for little in return in recent seasons. Probably come back injured for the sake of Nations League games. I cringe at the legend tag.
The decision to give him a new contract shows the Kenwright era of misty eyed sentimentality still clouds decisions made at the club. He's not good enough anymore, and giving him another year because he is wheeled out for some soundbites after morale sapping defeats and 'knows what it means to the fans' is just absurd decision making. Garner needs to be right back, until/if Patterson is fit and capable.

That's him injured then most likely for about 3-4 weeks

This guy needs to retire, all this ÂŁ60 grand shamus Coleman sang by the fans absolutely pathetic, no wonder we are on such a mess as a football club.

Someone on here even said he should be given at least the 1st game at Bramley Moor as a thankyou for his services, Jeepers can you imagine.

This guy has not been Premier League standard for years and yet continues to take a wage and still play at international level, instead of turning around to the managers and say I can't handle this anymore I feel like I am letting the team club and fans down.

Where are his leadership skills, yesterday he knew he was goosed he knew he was getting over run, what did he do? Absolutely nothing this guy has won nothing in his career and has held us back for years. If he retired the club would have to act it's that simple.

Every game he gets targeted he is a liability and has been for years

That game yesterday was on him and Dyche it's that simple
Taking a wage ? Why wouldn't he ? I think you'll find its Everton virtually begging him to continue because they lack clout in the marketplace. I think Seamus would love someone to come in and be better

Calm down, lad. He’s not even the worst Everton player in Premier League history.

It's not his fault he's been hung out to dry by the club.
We brought Sidibe in on loan summer of 2019.
That's how long we've been looking for a replacement.
It's negligence by the club.
But even though he was a great buy, he's been a terrible captain - really bad.
Every sports a person retires just after they top their game so to be remembered fondly - I liked Shamus when he came on v Spurs at home & changed the game from a loss into a win - he should have never been sent out on loan to Blackpool - DM after his cameo appearance on RM radio the fullback shirt is his - then loaned him out - he did wonders for Blackpool getting them promoted -

He missed a sitter yesterday, had a good game until the last 2 minutes when he & our injured left back fell to bits - the manager insisted on leaving players on both those 2 & a CB should have been subbed - the two substitutes he made were token gestures -

It's sad to see Shamus career being mismanaged by a chump of a manager.....

I don't disagree but let's not hate on the man because he makes himself available to our cause.
I don't hate Seamus: a great servant for club and country. But it's time we - and he - accepted he is now part of a huge problem: the constant looking back to past glories and wonderment why we are now a faded relic when we insist on lauding, celebrating, eulogising and playing faded relics like Seamus.

Surely that's a decision for our football management team ? Contracts have to be offered by Everton first in order for a player to accept them.

I think most people agree the club needs to change almost entirely so I’m not sure why they’re hanging onto a member of the “old boys” club thats presided over the longest period of irrelevance the club has ever had to be honest.

He’s lived long enough to become the villain at this point.
