It begs the question Does the coach work on the weaker aspects of the players? Does he get Coleman to stay behind after training and practise those moves or does he just accept the player as a package warts and all?
I'd say some players are probably just lost causes when it comes to certain aspects of their game and it is what it is. For example, Coleman could practice crossing all week but then in a match game situation he's running full pelt, runs past a full back, has about 3 seconds to look up and then usually overhits/underhits/slices into the crowd. But it's all done in a few seconds. Other times when he has time he just floats in a lofted ball with no pace or direction. That's just a couple of examples of decision making. He's put in some superb crosses over the years but I just don't think it's his strong point and is something that it's bloody annoying but is what it is. When he gets into those situations I'd rather he just cut in and have a shot because he's more dangerous when going at goal himself
