An injury that serious to one of their players who has never acted a tit mate, nah the reaction would be the same - baring a few idiot posters on here, which they have in spades and who haven't said a word so far - despite them being frequent posters on the Everton thread over their.

It would have been Mirallas or Barkley then it would have been a very very different set of posts up on there for sure
Not many of them! I always liked that Martin Kelly, and Flanagan seemed ok, but really, who else from that lot can you honestly say 'ah, shame that, he seemed like a decent bloke'?

Good to see hes had the op,and hes now on the long road to recovering, but having never broke a bone myself etc,how come the op didnt get done within mins of him getting to the hospital, leaving him in pain etc

Not rushing him into surgery would be a good sign. It would mean there was no threat of losing the limb so no vascular damage.

Get him out of shock and well hydrated, generally stabilized, get plenty of scans, plan best surgical options, definitely get the hospitals best surgical team together, and given the stakes for Seamus, possibly even call in a specialist surgeon.

You never want to rush to surgery unless there is a risk of waiting.

...sensible post, cheers RAFUH.

The general vibe seems to be a potential 2017 return, which would be amazing. We're in the tail end of this season, no WC/Euro in summer, so if all he misses is the early few months of next season, that really would be wonderful.

Fingers firmly crossed for a successful rehab. Not just for Everton, but I really want Coleman to continue his career at the top. He totally deserves it.

There might have been variables at play, they might have wanted to assess and take time to decide on the exact treatment pathway.
I've actually had a similar injury, tib and fib - clean break, took me about a year to get back and I had great care as I was playing for the forces at the time.
They couldn't operate on me for days because I had a fever, then an infection then a pulmonary embolism.
All because some fat Scottish goalie threw himself on one of my sexy pins.

2 pretty decent answers to my questions, thanks lads

...not sure if Taylor has issued a public apology.

Went into the Irish dressing room apparently. Not like Seamus would have been there like, but still. Havnt seen the tackle, thank god, but when Hartson condemns it, must have been "meant".

When i seen that quote that he went into the dressing room to see if hes there,i thought it was a mickey take myself, surely he didnt expect coleman to be there, and surely you would think he seen colemans leg after the tackle etc,its like he went there knowing hes not there

...listened to Hartson when it happened and I wasn't impressed. Was quite jovial in the aftermath and then defended Taylor. He's come out this morning and castigated the Welshman. Being cynical I think he's read the backlash. It's a very poor reflection on Hartson.

Yep I called him out on twitter so I'll take credit for that lol

Only knew about the injury when I heard about it this morning mate. Dont mind Hartson, but if he was being like that in commentary, he was a tit.

He's doing 606 on 5Live in 15 minutes, now the dust has settled, it'll be interesting to see what he says.
