Has there been an update on him yet, surgery etc?

Am I imagining that a player last year came back from a similar injury in only a few months?

...remember Cisse getting a double fracture for the Reds against Blackburn (James McCleverley) on 30th October and coming back mid- April. It doesn't get any better than that but they had a top club doctor.

I know nothing about medicine or anything but I hope Seamus's extremely good fitness will work in his favour. Few players can run like he does for the entirety of every game.

talking of doctors eggs our doctor confirmed he is definitely retiring at the end of this season.

Unfortunately his age is against him. He is 27 now and the body is slower to heal than a 19 year old, despite him being a terrific athlete. I think the press release today said 12 months.

Still as gutted for him today as I was last night.

The general vibe seems to be a potential 2017 return, which would be amazing. We're in the tail end of this season, no WC/Euro in summer, so if all he misses is the early few months of next season, that really would be wonderful.

Fingers firmly crossed for a successful rehab. Not just for Everton, but I really want Coleman to continue his career at the top. He totally deserves it.
Oviedo had very similar injury in January and he was pushing to get back for world cup in June. He didnt because he had a relapse, pribably because he was pushing too hard. But if it was a clean break and the opp was successful lets hope we see him again this year.
