Timperley resident, ex Liberal Councillor for Timperley and long time friend of H&A, Neil Taylor got the shock of his life yesterday when his Twitter feed started filling up with abuse and troll like behaviour.

Neil had little idea of what was happening until he looked in to the nature of the abuse.

Neil Taylor (@neil_taylor_) tweeted: “Blimey the perils of having the same name as a football player,” after he found dozens of tweets from irate Irish fans on his Twitter page.

During the day’s World Cup qualifier between Wales and Republic of Ireland, Welsh international Neil Taylor performed a horrific tackle on Seamus Coleman, breaking his leg. Football fans immediately took to Twitter to rail at the football star, who actually does not have a Twitter account.
Poor Neil was having a curry and a beer when the tweets started!

Unsuspecting Neil Taylor from Timperley became the butt of the fans’ anger with tweet after tweet accusing him of all sorts, calling him names and threatening retribution!

Poor Neil was having curry and a beer to celebrate his 10th wedding anniversary when the tweets came through! Neil tweeted that he didn’t even like football but the tweets still rolled in!

Neil has been relishing in the funny side of it since yesterday and even posted up a montage image of his face on the body of Neil Taylor (the footballer) see above! He even retweeted some of the abuse!

A popular local figure he is currently fronting the Altrincham Festival. We have also heard on the grapevine that he may be taking up residence with a local BBC radio station. You heard it here folks!

He's Irish. They aren't normal.
Tough all right. I remember the great Irish cyclist Sean Kelly having stitches - in his face if I recall - after a crash; no anesthetic, just get me back on the bike. And Stephen Roche who won the tour in 87 having oxygen administered after a time trial.

Both drug cheats them two

Do wen know what kind of fracture it is yet? Is it as bad as Oviedo's?
It's a double leg fracture to the tibia I think they said. Either way Taylor needs to look at himself long and hard in mirror because that challenge was horrendous. I hope he has nightmares about it

Tibia and Fibula both broken. That's minimum 9 months out, I gather.
I'm sure Ross Barkley had similar, if not worse ?
His was a triple break if I remember rightly ?
Hope Seamus comes back as strong.
Oviedo was in the form of his life when he had his break, he was keeping Baines out the side on merit.

I feel so sorry for the lad, as he's a cracking fella by all accounts.

Feel really bad for Coleman, but who do we put at RB now? Looking at the squad and with Browning out on loan, I would guess Holgate, although I think McCarthy played there once, though I don't think we have another player at the club who can both defend and attack on the right hand side like seamus, I hope to god he is not out for 9 months, definitely the rest of the season though

the missus said that the quickest a player can come back is 6 months and that's if no metal ( can't remember if she said a metal plate which helps knit the bones together ) is used. Cisse done the same and was back in 6 months. If a metal plate ( or whatever they use ) us needed then it will be 9 months as that needs to be taken out after 6 months of being in.

Something like that anyway.
