Seamus Coleman

I don't know if the rules have now changed mate but if not I'd imagine the Irish FA would now have to pay his wages until he's back into full training with us. If that's the case I wonder if the Irish FA would then look at making a claim against Wales.

Seems ridiculous out of all of this that come next Saturday Taylor will be allowed to showcase his non existent talent on a football pitch.

thats what really annoys me. This cowardly [insert word of choice] knew what could/would happen when he went in -out of control, studs showing, half way up Colemans legs - anyone who says otherwise is just as cowardly as him. He's ended a fellow professionals season, possibly career yet he gets to play again next week. If there was any justice in the game he would not be allowed to play again until Seamus does but sadly!

Won't insurance be involved somewhere along the line?

...I expect it is. Somebody posted an agreement a few days ago from FIFA saying salaries are covered if injury occurs in World Cup related games. This was a World Cup qualifier but that agreement ran out in 2014 and I'm not sure if another is in place but I dare say whoever picks up the cost have insurance policies.

..I might be wrong but I still haven't seen a public apology.

the missus said that the quickest a player can come back is 6 months and that's if no metal ( can't remember if she said a metal plate which helps knit the bones together ) is used. Cisse done the same and was back in 6 months. If a metal plate ( or whatever they use ) us needed then it will be 9 months as that needs to be taken out after 6 months of being in.

Something like that anyway.
If its been plated it will be at least 9 months

Seen nothing Eggs. Other than Lesdley defending himself for being caught laughing on camera and Chris Coleman and Hartson issuing half hearted support for Seamus whilst valiantly defending Taylor because he 'isn't that sort of player'.
Taylor himself hasn't issued anything.

..just looking at this article and the clip from the Welsh manager. He says Taylor went into the Irish dressing room after the match but he's not sure if he saw Seamus Coleman or not. All seems a bit feeble;

Perhaps Taylor's advisors are telling him to keep quiet and not admit any liability.

aye mate that's what the missus said.

She said Cisse came back in 6 months and then had another double leg break and she wondered if it was because the leg never healed properly. Unfortunately for him it was the other leg though what he got a double leg break in so it happened to him on both legs. Quite a rare thing I'd say.

Hopefully yesterday was a nice clean op, heals well and he's in positive spirits. Wouldn't be surprised if Everton flew medical team over that night and even paid for a top surgeon to do the op. I should imagine when you've got a 30m asset lying on a table and about to be operated on you want to cover all bases and make sure they're getting the best possible treatment

He's lucky not to have the cops calling at his front door... In any other environment what he did was assault....

Agreed 100%!

Coleman has made an enormous contribution this season with his skill and enthusiasm.

He recently popped up on the left wing to centre left footed!

Hope to see you back soon, Seamus.
