Only on TV, but yea, there have been a lot of crosses. I think a lot of this is to do with coaching. There doesn't seem to be that many crosses in Ireland games but then again, you don't see Coleman getting forward as much. I think this season, he (or Baines for that matter) hasn't had the opportunity to build a good relationship with the player in front of him. From what I've seen and granted, it's only on TV, he's been OK. I think, given the right coaching and a settled team, he'd be a very solid player again. Also, this isn't a Coleman love in post, I don't think he'll ever be a good enough crosser of the ball.Have you seen his defending this season mate?,constantly getting the wrong side of the winger, too many crosses come in from both flanks Baines too, compared to what he was like in RM's first season it's chalk and cheese,we get a decent offer I think we should take it.
Good point about him not having a dependable midfielder in front of him,we've chopped and changed there,I really like the fella,it just seems to me he like a number of others have gone backwards.Only on TV, but yea, there have been a lot of crosses. With both Coleman and Baines I think the problem lies with RM and what instructions were given to the players.
Mate I agree about some of the managers instructions might not be great, but to but the blame on him for Colemans poor defending, and baines I'm not having, both of them let crosses in too easily and I can't believe the manage tells them not to close down its getting to easy to blame Roberto for everything. The players need to look at themselves as well. With both Coleman and Baines I think the problem lies with RM and what instructions were given to the players.

I agree, but in Roberto's first season they both played outstanding stuff, but baines was never the greatest defender anyway and maybe he's past his best who knows as for Coleman is he as good as we all thought,I just think we maybe making Martinez the scapegoat for players who we think are better than they actually are,if that makes sense. It is strange though that both of them stopped playing the way they had been.

I'm not disagreeing with the obvious facts mate, but you can't tell me that he tells them not to stop crosses coming in not to close wide men down and also just let runners go by them,I'm not having that. But the whole team has stopped defending, these are the same players that could defend in Moyes time and even in Martinezs 1st season.
I mean either 15 players have suddenly stopped being able to defend or 1 man has changed the tactics to such a degree that the team cant defend, based on Martinez 8 year Premier League record, the evidence is right there.

Maybe mate it probably is that but at the same time if your a top defender surely you would do what you know is best out of instinct.Im suggesting the tactics are THAT bad that the players are to busy wondering WTF is going on to be able to do their jobs fully.
