He's very talented and was unlucky to be replaced by Seamus but that happens at almost all clubs.

Seriously though, if, say in five years time, Holgate had been playing regularly for us, would you be itching to replace him with the next young thing ?

At what point do you ( personally ) think we should replace experience with youth, even if the younger player isn't obviously better than the experienced one ? Is there a specific age ... 24 ... 27 ... 30 that you'd bin someone off purely based on them getting older or is it more complicated than that ?

OK, seeing you keep avoiding my question, I'll tweak it a bit. If you thought Seamus had been playing consistently well would you still want to replace him with Holgate ?

I'm genuinely interested btw, so a yes or no somewhere in the answer would be good
