No it isn't as he isn't a left back.like a new signing
Moyes only started him right mid because he didn't trust him as a defender. Neither did a lot fans either...I said when he got injured, that he was our best player. (I was never Lukaku's biggest fan but he scored goals why moan?) The difference Coleman makes to the side, is huge. The amount of goals he got, especially late equalisers, plus chances he made was such a bonus.
Remember Moves started him right wing, with Hibbert behind him.
Let's also not forget that Seamus learned his trade by being loaned out and being played right wing, we didn't see this Seamus until he was 25/26 so maybe give some time for the kids to develop; I don't think anyone expected Kenny or the other kids to be playing at Seamus level.
For me he has set the bar for JJK, the levels that young man has to strive for are there for him to see, what greater motivation. Also for what it's worth, JJK is better at 20 than Coleman was in the same position at the same age.
Was superb to see Coleman back last night and he picked up where he left off, he laughs in the face of double leg breaks.
Kenny's ability on the ball is nowhere near Coleman's. You can go away and learn how to defend, as Coleman did. Not sure you can teach that natural ability going forward.
When Coleman first came he was raw as hell, but he was marauding forward, Kenny may not have the dribbling ability of seamus but he's a good solid RB and when given the opportunity to play further forward without getting pelters, he has a nice delivery on him as well. All I'm saying is Seamus didn't hit the ground running here it took a while to find his premiership feet, so I'm quite happy to see how JJK develops.
I believe JJK will be a quality RB, genuinely I do.
I see Kenny as another Tony Hibbert personally. Solid enough usually but really lacking in what a top team needs from a modern day full back.
It was just great to see a full back bombing on last night. It's what we've lacked all season and a huge part of why our attack has been so weak.
Kenny does like to get forward, he's just been too scared to recently, He has got something about him, I like the lad, if he can reach Colemans level then we have a diamond. Just my opinion but I have liked what I saw and he has always impressed for England and the U23's on the few meagre occasions I have seen them.
Is that so bad though? I know Hibbert was a joke towards the end of his time here but he had a good few years before Coleman emerged where he was a reliable stopper at full back, yes he was clueless going forward but it is up to a manager to adapt his side to fit the parts he has. At times this season we have been crying out for a 25 year old Hibbert type player at either full back position.I see Kenny as another Tony Hibbert personally. Solid enough usually but really lacking in what a top team needs from a modern day full back.

Shocked me. I was 100% dead against him being on the bencc even. Wanted him to play for U23s Monday instead.I knew Seamus wasn't starting to ease himself back in for 45 minutes, or maybe an hour. Once he started it was business as normal and he wasn't coming off.
To play 94 odd minutes after that injury was outstanding. To play at the level he did, and with such intensity, is remarkable. The lad is the heartbeat of the side. He might be Irish and proudly so, but he is Everton. He knows what it is about. Armband please.
