2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Dyche has had McNeil playing for him for years and still can't get him to pass five yards with his right foot
At home try Harrison on the left with Lindstrum and Ndiaye swapping between the right and No 10 positions,
as McNeil is to slow for No 10,if we could find a new manager now go get him, will need to be able to influence new signings that we need this season and next.

I'm convinced that most people are not watching games, they're listening to them. Telly on but scrolling through their phones/pads all game looking for other people's comments on the match.

That's the only way I can understand how anyone thought Newcastle were terrorising the Everton goal yesterday...because it wasn't happening in reality and only by listening to the rubbish tv commentary from Carragher and his co-commentator (such a non-mark I cant even recall his name) would they state that "the dominant" Newcastle were "constantly breaking through Everton lines" and had a "host of chances".

That didn't happen. The commentary was completely bogus to what the eyes were showing you. But it seems that's what the bulk of critics have been basing their critique of the game on: Sky Sports commentary.
'Terrorising' is a bit of an exaggeration but they were by far the better team. We made an ordinarily poor away team look perfectly at home yesterday and yes, I watched the whole match

Said it from day 1 matty, if he’s 1 year or 4years nothing will change, all this nonsense give him some money and he will buy better players and turn us into a good football team. He’s playing Ndiaye out of position, to shoehorn his favourites in, yesterday he couldn’t wait to get doucoure back in 10 move McNeil to the right , not his position and bring Tim into midfield. Why not try lindstrom the last 15 with ndaiye behind the striker, maybe even throw Beto on, he’s not the best granted but they don’t have fast centre backs and we could have put them under a bit more pressure in that last 10mins. Dyche instead just shut up shop for a point. He would take being 0-0 on 80 mins every week

a 0-0 for this feller is a f win to him

well it’s not to us!

It was a good competitive P/L game 50/50, could have went either way, momentum swung this way and that, but a draw was a fair result - a bit disappointed not to win - but its a good draw. I don't know how anyone couldn't have found it exciting, there was great tension and drama, haymakers by both sides going for it. We were very good defensively, with a couple of decent forwards i think we win yesterday. We by far had made an had the better chances yesterday.

I honestly don't know if people not watching the games, looking at highlights or really not understanding.

Funny thing is they talk of progressing and ambition - then run the club and the team down at the first chance.
Spot on mate. It was an entertaining battle between two teams missing key players: them attackers; us half our regular back 4.

They are way ahead of us in most departments though and put together some decent passing moves in the middle of the park regularly...but only because we allowed them the ball.

Dyche's tactics were spot on. We clearly tried to change things up and went for the win in the last phase of the game and got a head of steam up. DCL should have got his pen and the 3 points wrapped up.

We move on.

I'll tell you what they wont do if they have any sense: sack a manager this season when they want the club they're buying to safely be in the PL when/if they takeover.

They probably know the square root of f.a. about soccer ball, but no doubt have advisers who'll tell them that Sean Dyche is a reliable pair of hands to get us stable in the PL again for a third season in succession.

Who knows, after proving he can keep an 'asset' safe for that long they might take the sound business decision to leave him in place a little longer and extend his contract. That'd be a wise move IMO, as the first season in a new stadium will need an experienced man at the wheel again to guide us through it.

If it were me, and Dyche again proved this season he can keep us 2/3/4 spots above the relegation zone, I'd hand him a further 12 months on his contract that's coming to an end in May.
Your ambitions for the club amaze me, this, full backs notwithstanding, is a decent squad. There is a reason why Dyche has beaten the drop so many times, its because the way he sets up, his team will normally be in the relegation mix.

1st half was basketball style..second half dirge

Both teams played their part equally. Despite the STATS

Draw fair result. Good point in the scheme of things

They looked ok because we handed them the possession.

Once they really broke our lines, when Gordon blazed over.

I actually think Newcastle should be miles ahead of us, i actually dont think they are, equivalent to the resources invested by both teams and ive thought that in most games we've played against them under Dyche - bar the mauling in his first year.

I actually thought the same at Villa, we were only beaten by a 1 in 100 fluke. But we are capable of competiting with these sides and making the result a jeopardy and taking points. Im realistic in the sense i look at what's been invested - but the fact we can compete means we are progressing and these teams haven't cut us adrift in terms of what we need to shoot at. Its indicative of progress in the main.

Things are beginning to settle now, players are getting fitter, players bedding in, injuries will clear and we are seeing now a consistency, 3 unbeaten and we need to keep table ticking.

With injuries and illness its been a really unlucky start we've had. Palace is really the only game we've had close to a full deck.

They are certainly better coached
I think it’s fair to say we have possibly three players starting that would get into their 11.
But despite thinking the opposition at the time, Eddie Howe would have been a fine Everton manager to manager that new money period when he was first linked
