2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Yep massively overachieved, got some good luck with injuries. Outperformed our xG and our xGA (look at our blocks from last season, mental - Pickford also outperformed his goals/saves ratio). Fine margins and we could have finished 10 points worse off.
Oh so when it suits he massively overachieved, but when we win 7 in nearly year, that’s fine because the players are crap all of a sudden

Woah woah hang on, I thought we had a manager that was good at overachieving with poor players?!?
Didn't you know, no other Manager could do better than him mate. He couldn't be expected to do any better than 15th - 17th even though he would have finished 12th last season without the point deduction. 2 out of the first 11 is awesome and exactly what we should be getting. Its all good. ;)

Huh? He clearly overachieved last season? We also had a weaker league to work with and got lucky that we could put out the same side most weeks.

The players were crap last year as well 🤣 stunned we got what we did. We had Doucoure at 10 all season and could barely win a game without him?!

He played him in the 10. He had other options he’s playing our most gifted attacker out of position as a wing back

I never said it was Everyone’s fault bar the manager , that’s you and the dychette’s

I don't think this is true.

I've been consistent no matter the manager. As I demonstrated just before in this thread, even under Lampard I was saying the issue is the squad.

By this;

I don't think it's necessary Everton.

It's a Dyche thing.

@blueboy72 would defend Lampard to the hilt. Players fault. We'd not spent enough. We need to give someone 3/4 years.

For some reason - none of that applies to Dyche.

Examples below.

For Lampard, here is you saying we haven't spent enough and unless we bring 2 quality forwards in we're in massive danger of going down. You even say its not Franks fault if players miss chances on a match day.

The problem is,
Fans against him and im on the fence now, will tell you another manager be it,
Dyche, moyes or Martinez will get us out of This situation, well all 3 have sent teams down before, I know dyche got sacked before it happened, but it was a strong possibility.

We started the season with a fit forward line of 3 players costing 1.7mil. 2 injured that cost around 1 mil. This is our attack in 2022
In the richest league in world. We added cheap squad fillers,in Maupay and McNeil because that’s all we could afford. Unless we bring in 2 quality forwards we’re in massive danger of going down.

We all watch the training videos and see
Our forwards smashing them into the top corners from 20yards, if they then can’t find the corner from 5yrds on match day,
Is that Franks fault.

Here is you saying we need to stick with a manager for 3 or 4 years and not sack them, even if we finish 17th then 16th;

My point was a load of our fans last summer before Rafael turned their noses up at potter. And we’ve spent 500mil because we’ve brought in 250mil.
Yes the stupid wages and long contracts have killed us. We have a debt under moshiri in 7yrs of about 250mil.
Brighton was about 200mil over a 4/5 yr period.

Maybe we need to build something over 3 or 4yrs, and stick with a manager and not sack them
If we finish 17th then 16th

You say if we sack Lampard, the best we can attract is Dyche who would struggle to keep 'this squad' up and how it needs attackers;

The best we can attract is probably a dyche and he will struggle to keep this squad up. The squad needs 2 new decent attackers whoever the manager is. Can we afford to sack frank and buy 2 players, I’f the answer is no, then we have to keep him imo. 2 new forwards is more important

^ That was just a 2 min search of Dec/Jan before we sacked him.

So, everything I said under Lampard and Dyche like shortlist if sack is bad, problem is the squad, we need better players etc.

You made all these points which I agreed with for Lampard. But not Dyche.

I think he’ll comfortably keep us up by seasons end, I wouldn’t be gambling that changing mid season without a big spend in January would keep us safe.

Hope you’re right mate. Personally don’t think it’ll go that well and he’ll be sacked before January.

We need to start winning games we’re not expected to win, as we’ve been left in this position due to our dreadful start.

Who’s saying no other manager could?? I think a lot could be doing a better job than he is right now, certainly playing a more attractive brand of footy.

But these players are [Poor language removed]. So is Dyche. They aren’t mutually exclusive at all. Who is genuinely a football fan and thinks we have good players 🤣🤣🤣. We have about three that I’d be arsed about leaving.

@blueboy72 that’s pretty bang on even now isnt it?!

We’ve barely done anything with the squad and taken away our best attacking players. I like N’Diaye but he’s had no career whatsoever yet outside the championship and has 2 goals/0 assists yet. Richy all day over him currently.

Lampard had likability, he got the club, the fans. Look how the fans rallied around him and the players, yes I wanted him to succeed. All them message were when the World Cup was on, I liked Lampard I won’t lie, I wouldn’t piss on dyche if he was on fire

Massively agree with you that the start has been poor, really poor. I just think over a season he likely keeps you up, we just need to limp into BM still in the prem. I think a change could be disastrous as much as it could be rejuvenating. Especially if there’s no money to spend.

I preferred Lampard as a bloke over Dyche as well, but he had no clue how to set a team up.

We 100% went down if he stayed.
