2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Massively agree with you that the start has been poor, really poor. I just think over a season he likely keeps you up, we just need to limp into BM still in the prem. I think a change could be disastrous as much as it could be rejuvenating. Especially if there’s no money to spend.
He’s gone if the next 3/4 results go bad.

Lampard had likability, he got the club, the fans. Look how the fans rallied around him and the players, yes I wanted him to succeed. All them message were when the World Cup was on, I liked Lampard I won’t lie, I wouldn’t piss on dyche if he was on fire

Exactly my point mate when I said it's a Dyche thing.

And they were all Dec to mid Jan just before we sacked him.

You and loads more - don't like him as a person and it shows.

All I do is try and offer some balance and give Dyche the same courtesy I give Lampard.

As for Lampard I liked him too. The only Everton manager I've spoke to. He'd engage with GOT on social media etc.

But ultimately all I'm arsed about is Everton and us remaining a Premier League team until we get new owners.

“The best we can attract is probably a dyche and he will struggle to keep this squad up. The squad needs 2 new decent attackers whoever the manager is. Can we afford to sack frank and buy 2 players, I’f the answer is no, then we have to keep him imo. 2 new forwards is more important“

@blueboy72 that’s pretty bang on even now isnt it?!

We’ve barely done anything with the squad and taken away our best attacking players. I like N’Diaye but he’s had no career whatsoever yet outside the championship and has 2 goals/0 assists yet. Richy all day over him currently.
We’ve added 6 attacking players over the last 2 years mate

Unfortunately we looked like an unorganized U9 group while he was in charge.

By the skin of our arse. Dyche’s full season we were comfortable.
I liked Lampard but I’ve never seen an Everton team look so much like a Southampton/Fulham type. Absolutely weak as piss.

Also recall the season Lampard come in - we never improved results. We stumbled to safety. Think that was the case anyway.

Likeable bloke.

Horrendously bad manager.

Crazy how close we came to going down, genuinely baffled me how we used to set up.

One midfielder dropped in to come get the ball and all the other players just stood in a line up in their half. There’s a whole thread about it on twitter somewhere. He’s done it since derby, genuinely bemusing.

Found some of it on Twitter;

This one is interesting too - even saying here how counter press and long ball with this squad is all we should be trying;

Who have we added to play football?!
