2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Ages ago I whacked up a semi-tongue in cheek poll inquiring if we all felt drastic change would follow after sacking the desperate narcissist Benitez.

Thread 'Would things drastically change if Benitez left tomorrow?' https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...cally-change-if-benitez-left-tomorrow.113740/

Unsurprisingly the majority said no. I think it's been borne out.

Which also holds true for the desperate anti-football acolyte Dyche.

It'll make us feel good short term. We might even see a bump in form with a new man. But NOTHING truly changes without new owners with a clear strategy and vision.

Would you be suprised the contract isn't extended when the negotiating position has changed? Would you be happy enough to talk up or engineer a similar negotiating position in order to try to get that kind of money again?

The ownership change and entering Bramley Moore WILL change the negotiating position. That’s reality. I don’t know why people are going on about a salary Everton negotiated when they were on the absolute precipice in Jan 23.

Seriously?
All his Christmas' came at once and he's been laughing all the way to the bank. £20 mil over a couple of years to keep an under-performing squad in the Prem when other managers are paid a third of that to compete for Europa League.

Yes that’s the very definition of a risk profile. Managers competing for the europa league didn’t have the downside of relegating a historic institution and sending it to the financial wall putting in jeopardy its takeover and its new stadium, whilst forever being known as the manager who relegated Everton. They also don’t have to do this from 19th place and 15 points from 20 games.

So yes, a risk profile.

Getting credit for developing one of the most sort after defenders in the U.K. after twice dropping him for Michael Keane

Words can’t even

This is some agenda stretch even for you. He’s played Branthwaite in almost every game he’s fit ahead of Keane but because he picked up a niggling injury and had to be carefully phased back you think this means he shouldn’t get any credit for playing Branthwaite.

Honestly you’re a complete parody at this point.

So I’m clear, he’s improved 5 players during his tenure and everyone else is incapable of improvement and deemed flat out crap?

A lot of players are incapable of improving. You see them every season, at clubs up and down the country, players who are deemed not good enough and moved on.

Nobody said David Moyes was a crap manager when Tony Hibbert reached his zenith, they just accepted that there was no more ability to drag out of him. It's not uncommon. Managers aren't miracle workers. I reckon a good 70% of players in this league will never be good enough to reach elite level, and no amount of coaching will make them that good.

“Eh, listen goals have been a problem at this club before I got here!”

Sean Dyche as premier league manager;
326 games 318 goals…

Seems to be just as much a Seany “we’re gonna score less than a goal a game” Dyche problem, sweetcheeks.
No mate it's everyone else but Dyche.

It might be the exact same results and football as before but it's something else for sure.
