2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

The sad thing is this is our last season at the grand old lady and it could end under Dyche, a manager who has sucked the life out of everything, us fans, players, the whole atmosphere. Not the send off she deserves.
Anyone happy he's still in charge have expectations for Everton so low they may as well go and support Tranmere.
*Knock on wood...

But imagine this clown sticks around until the end of the season, and in the worst case scenario, we have to play our first match in our new stadium in the championship?

THAT would be unforgivable.

Koeman, Benitez and Lampard all “failed”.

All sacked after horrendous starts.

All three starts had more points after 12 games than we currently do.

But yeah, it’s cause of what he says in his press conferences 🙄

It’s almost like you don’t understand that the conditions and context for all managers are different, or you choose to wilfully ignore it.

Nonsense.

You won’t find many who were coming to the defence of Martinez, Koeman or Silva by the time they were sacked for bad runs of results.

Runs which didn’t go on for nearly as long as our poor form under Dyche.

If Dyche had failed as badly as those three did relative to the resources they had we’d be in the championship (at least) probably in administration, every decent player would have been sold in a distressed sale and the words Friedkin and Everton would only be getting referenced in bankruptcy proceedings.

So people can continue to compare runs of form all they like as if Koeman managing Stones Barkley Lukaku and spending 100s of millions is the exact same situation as Dyche managing these players on a sell to make profit basis, but it’s a particularly stupid thing to do.

Take silva for example. First season, only got 6 more points than Dyche had last season. His target didn’t then become survive relegation. Even he had more points at this stage.

Koeman had one of the hardest starts I’ve seen in a season. But you give no leeway or context to that. Him and silva were sacked very early.

Lampard came into keep us up. Did that. Then the next season. Had more points at this stage than Dyche does but was clearly struggling. Him and Dyche will be very close points wise by the time Lampard got sacked. But based off a relegation scrap season before, it’s ok he was down there right? Because what can we expect? Same lenience Dyche gets right?

Benitez was horrendous but unsurprisingly you were sat firmly in his camp as well.

You seem fine with Dyche walking us to relegation.

How many points do you think we actually get from the next 8 games?

Silva’s target wasn’t survival because he had 100s of millions spent on his team that contained Mina Digne Gomes Gueye Richalrison Siggurdson Iwobi Walcott Bernard

Exactly the same for Koeman

They underperformed the resources they had, massively, almost to the point where Moshiri started to question we might seriously be relegated.

There’s 100s of pages of debate here about whether Dyche has underperformed the resources he has, you are probably the only person on here who thinks we have a top ten squad.

Dyche has taken a bottom half squad to bottom half finishes yet people are asking for sympathy for Koeman and Silva’s firings for having squads that should have been in Europe in the bottom 3.

They’re not the same thing.

He asked about Lampard??
Don’t think anyone thinks we’re top 10 another narrative spouted by the dyche brigade.

Who is asking for sympathy for them? It’s context, not sympathy. They were rightfully sacked. As were on terrible runs.

Lampard took a bottom half squad to bottom half finish and yet you scream the place down about him,

When have I said top 10? We finished 12th last season. That should have been the target. Not surviving relegation.

How many points from next 8 games?

I think there's an argument for sympathy for silva....didn't have the greatest transfer window and then his gueye replacement gets injured immediately
Altho I think he was broken by the end and I doubt he'd have turned it round.
Koeman can do one.

Koeman didn’t manage Stones for one single minute of football.

Lampard 15 points on 20 games and looking absolutely listless? Did that need an explanation?

He himself said our squad could be 9th. He’s the only one who has, which is what my post said, if you’d read it before auto vomiting your response out,
