Was it bollox. If anything it was worse, we had wasted hundreds of millions on every over the hill over priced number 10 they could find, had a completely unbalanced squad and were in a relegation battle because of Koeman and ended up appointing Allardyce. Most of them have been on similar wages as Dyche. It is no different whatsoever. We could aim higher in 2017, the situation in 2023 was extremely different,
The situation is about the change against, hopefully, therefore we’ll be able to aim higher once more.
The job of spending Moshiri’s millions to take a team from 8th to challenging Europe is much different than taking a team that’s 19th and the club will be making profit each window whilst it tries to be sold. Different problems, different managers required.

You literally dodge everything posted and you wonder why you get so much stick.
By your way of thinking, if we bought 10 Ronaldo's we would win the league when in fact we would probably end up relegated. The squad was completely unbalanced due to really poor player scouting and purchasing and it resulted in us being 3rd from bottom when we sacked Koeman. None of which changes the fact that 6 years ago you didn't want Dyche and now you are the number 1 Gasdycher. Not sure it’s worth taking it any further when we’re into denying reality now.
We bought Richarlison Digne Mina Bernard and loaned Zouma and Gomes that window, record fees for an attacker CB and full back that haven’t been surpassed at Everton since. The season after we bought Iwobi for 30 mill, Moise Kean 25, Gomes 25, Gbamin 25 mill and Delph.
If you think this is ‘no difference whatsoever’ and ‘if anything it was worse’ to the current economic climate and squad options available to the manager then I really really cannot help you.

6 years ago you didn't want Dyche because he was small time and not good enough. Now he has proven you were right about him but now you want him.6 years ago I didn’t want Dyche you’re right, because the circumstances were different. It’s really not any more difficult than that but you’re trying to fight some sort of argument against time itself here.
Take a look at the players in that squad going into 18/19 the transfer budgets available, and the wages we were paying
Take a look at the exact same things Jan 23 and the18 months that followed.
Tell me again how nothing has changed and it was worse back then

In a nut shell.
So he’s not a small time manager all of a sudden??If you join Chris in pretending that time doesn’t matter and situations don’t change then sure you’re 100% correct
Dyche's style got found out even more between '18 and '22, and then he stayed away from football not improving or studying anything new in a changing game. Those are two situations that definitely changed. If you join Chris in pretending that time doesn’t matter and situations don’t change then sure you’re 100% correct
Weird how it ended up 1-1 then

When we finally get taken over do you want Dyche gone or do you think he should be given more time to turn his 15 year CV around.6 years ago I didn’t want Dyche you’re right, because the circumstances were different.
