2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Plan A worked a treat tonight, can’t fault that.

Imagine if we could pass, though. If our players knew how to move to receive the ball in space.

The things we could do.
Was just going to post the same - plan A worked tonight. A team that can defend a set piece though and we’re still not scoring. Delighted for the players to get a win though - they needed a boost.

I was thinking that the only way he holds on to the job (assuming the Friedkins have been too preoccupied with Roma's crisis to line up a replacement) is another derby win.

Be hard to bullet him then...

If that were to happen it’s simply short term thinking again and nothing changes. It’s the kind of thinking that’s regressed this club for years. Not having a go at you , things have to change here substantially.

He’s not the answer long term.

Not the long term answer buy short term would cost us 9 million and a potential point deduction to remove. If he wins the derby then it may be worth keeping him round purely financially.

He’s going as soon as the Friedkin’s take over is my feeling, and it will be job done.
Yeah, logically that should be the reality.

But there's a part of me that would find it very funny if he did win the derby and the Friedkins took over the following week...

I'd expect the new owners to make something of a statement when they take over. But hopefully they are doing that from a league position of strength, not desperate necessity.

I think it'll take a 5-0 win for him to stand a chance. Too many poor performances, too many excuses, too many bad decisions to be able to reverse the decision that his days are numbered imo

Delighted tonight with the win, I'm sure he is too because wins are so few and far between under his tenure. When he does get binned there'll be a few players who he's stood by who I hope are embarrassed from the performances they've offered up. There's a few who wouldn't get in a League 1 side who he's backed to the hilt.

Let's hope he finishes on a high, beats the rs 45-0 and then we say our goodbyes

Indeed. That would be the ideal way to part.

I made my mind up about Dyche after the Bournemouth implosion. But I hope he goes out on a high. He did a good job until the start of this season. That shouldn't be forgotten.
