2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I was thinking that the only way he holds on to the job (assuming the Friedkins have been too preoccupied with Roma's crisis to line up a replacement) is another derby win.

Be hard to bullet him then...

Cant help but think that the times weve used a high press its been nice to watch...

...typically though very poor.

The better we are to watch, the more pts we seem to get. Dyche hasnt noticed.

Hopefully we go after liverpool and surprise them

Tbh the ideal situation is we continue to pick up the odd win and we can get rid at end of season, prob good that he takes the next few games anyway as a new manager would struggle

The xG last night was basically 1-1 - now I’m no expert, but that basically means we massively got lucky, doesn’t it?

It happens - we’ve been unlucky in other matches too - but it also means that luck is unlikely to continue into our upcoming fixtures against much tougher opponents.

Hoping that’s wildly inaccurate and we smash em all off the park obvs.

Anyway, doubt TFG are changing whatever plans they have off the back of one result.

We need points. Need a win. If we start winning it’s good.
Dyche will be gone before the start of next season even if we turn the tide and finish midtable.
Surely that’s the best prospect. Surely you can’t hate him that much you would rather we plunged in to more trouble and then pluck a manager who might take us down anyway
I genuinely dont think we could have a worse manager if we tried

Much depends on the new owners having control of club, if rumour is accepted will be in the next week or so. Will most likely want a reset.

Lot said about Wolves and opening fixtures, that said they are poor...

Dyche side could do something special or get us twatted in the next 3 or 4 matches and find ourselves in the bottom 3 very quickly.

Also Dyche has lost lot of goodwill much more from what he has said about fans than performances, easy sacking if ever for new owners.

My understanding on xG is that means we didn’t create any particularly high quality chances that you would be expected to score.

A free kick that the keeper should arguably have done better on, a deflection and 2 own goals would reflect that really.

Fantastic result for us and I’ll take underserved/scrappy goals every day.

As will I, mate. Just saying, everything went our way that could have and it’s almost certainly an outlier.

Bit of me feels it is being disingenuous to be critical of the manager following a 4-0 win, however this was a performance that was forced on him. We had men in front of the ball, we pressed high up the field and we looked entertaining. I think Sean Dyche has finally hit upon a style of play that may get him another job following his sacking from Everton. All Sean Dyche has to do is stop being Sean Dyche and he may have a chance of further employment, but not at Everton.

If we press high as we did Wednesday night in these next fixtures it will be grim, and has record for doing this, what worries me.

Dyche will believe he has found a winning formula last night , and get us stuffed, then fall back on woe is me signings.

If there was a time to sit back park the bus, these coming fixtures are the ones, not Southampton etc.

Happily praise him as the messiah if gets us a draw maybe scrappy 1 nil. Just hope he has learnt there are hard games and then there are champion league teams becuase he beleives there are "no easy games".

Why have you gone from match day 4 to 14? Do the first 3 games not exist in this reality or something. Wouldn't be to make our form look better than it really is now would it because if you add the first 3 games it goes to 15th which is where we are.

The lengths some people go to to make Dyche seem better is ridiculous, just say it as it is. No need to cherry pick. Everyone is made up to get 3 points last night but sooner or later you are going to have to face up to the reality that TFG will be replacing him when they get in. Its a no brainer.
