2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Game recognised Game.

Thomas Frank praised him too if I recall. Begovic has praised his man management and from the outside it certainly looks like he has a better handle on that side of things than the previous two incumbents. One of whom had Doucoure playing with the kids and the other bombed Digne out.

At united I thought there was worrying signs he'd lost the players. He actually did lose them (by all accounts) at Chelsea last season, but seemingly sorted things out sharpish.

Keeping heads up through a terrible period of adversity is not something he gets enough credit for imo. He clearly has better man management than our other recent managers.

He hit a young player during preseason. I don’t recall physical violence as a management tool when I went through management seminars.

Just sounds like you’re looking for the negative. We created a lot of chances and put 4 of them away. That’s it.

Beto could have scored v Southampton and Bournemouth could have missed their chances and we’d be sat here on 20 points level with United and Newcastle. ‘Could haves’ don’t only work in the negative aspect.

All that matters is what did happen on the scoresheet. Everton 4 Wolves 0.
But palace should have been 2/3 up at half time, Fulham should have been out of sight and we got lucky v Newcastle. So we could also be 3 points worse off

I reckon if we lost the next 4 games heavily mate he would still be here till the end of the season, accepted losses, he’s the man to keep us up and all that crap.
He definitely wouldn’t be here if he loses the next 4 no chance, and I’d say there’s good chance he goes soon anyway, even if he gets a few decent results over the next 6 weeks

I must have imagined DCL being played through and hitting the keeper, Doucoure blazing over before the free kick, the football that led up to NDiaye’s disallowed goal, the Harrison chances that Broja set up.

That’s 4 or 5 clear opportunities created from open play off the top of my head without even watching anything back.

In every game both teams will have chances, we took ours they didnt take theirs, against Southampton and Brentford we didn’t take ours.

If you believe it’s all just down to luck then you can say we were unlucky in those tight games we lost. We finished our chances better than the opposition therefore deserved to win.

This is probably the only fanbase in the league trying to explain away their own team’s 4-0 win as lucky.
We’ve have the worst XG in league a stat I have no doubt dyche doesn’t think is relevant this season, and we are down the bottom for Loads of other stats like goals and shots.

If by some miracle we get a result tomorrow, let's see what he says then.

Only one team trying to play football.
Everton overly physical.
No protection for his players from the officials.
So many chances missed.
The wind too strong.
The grass to long...or short.
The ball was the wrong shape.

I would love it but I refuse to get my hopes up.

We could have been 3 up against Brighton before they scored in the first game. Anyone can play the ifs and buts game, actual results are all that matter.

Can’t just claim every loss is a deserved loss and every win is lucky no matter how convenient it is for you.
