2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Playing devil's advocate, if we don't have an immediate replacement lined up and ready to go, should we pull the trigger before January and risk yet another rudderless transfer window?
For me no. But it would be basic levels of competence for me, that the replacement is nailed down before any sacking.

There should be no need for Leighton Baines or anyone else to fill in as a stop gap.

We are too used to expecting the worst now. This is an opportunity for TFG to put a firm mark on the club, and they should be able to do that with minimum fuss.

There is no issue with waiting a few days for confirmation of an appointnent as long as they have things in hand in the background. But any delay should be kept to an absolute minimum and be measured in a couple of days, not weeks.

We've got some very average players but I'm not sure we're going to attract 'better' players while Dyche is manager.

He's not going to bring in new players and boom - both full backs are bombing forward, we're pressing effectively high up the pitch and creating chances/scoring goals.

This is the style of football he plays with every side he's managed.

The pool of players who don't mind playing this style is pretty limited imo.

I might be wrong but I can't think of a player he's improved?

Have you watched any of those teams?!

Miles, miles better squads than us.

Eze, Guehi, Mateta, Sarr, Munoz, Wharton, Mitchell.

Todibo, Kudus, Bowen, Soucek, Paqueta, AWB.

Mbeumo, Collins, Ajer, Wissa, Schade, Damsgaard, Henry, Norgaard, Janelt….

Do you really need me to do Man United ffs. Yes they’re crap, for them. They twatted us.
Don't forget this was best case scenario. None of these teams are playing well and with a decent new manager and a couple of January recruits there is no reason why we couldn't finish 12th.

And constantly gaslighting everyone by telling them what a hard job he’s got. Never heard him acknowledge he’s made a mistake or got things wrong. It’s always the ‘noise’ or the players.

It’s the clubs fault for agreeing to pay him that kind of salary.

When he leaves , the level of gaslighting will take on new levels

I can just imagine “Carra laa” on the Overlap

“Wha do the fans want, you hound all these managers out and he was doing a great job”

The stone henge headed meff would lose his mind if Dyche was churning out that kind of performance for Liverpool.

Those players walk into our team, and they were just off the top of my head. I’d say we’re better than Ipswich, Leicester, Saints. On a par with Wolves and Palace. That’s about it mate.

Anyone getting tenth with this shower this year would be doing a ridiculous job.

Well those players signed finished 16 points below us last year so it’s amazing what good coaching can do
They have improved massively, but they aren’t Brazil, or even the mighty Leeds. They surrender possession and counter. It’s basic stuff, and if they stop winning, they will scream for the manager out because ugly football has to be winning football. They have a striker few teams would touch who is performing better than anyone in the country, bit of pace out wide, and MGW who I think is a fantastic if very annoying footballer. Lost their best CB in the warmup, and made zero difference due to depth, even if they aren’t all household names.

They might not have the big names, but they have some very good players, and pace. 2nd place is rediculous, but expecting anything other than a very tough game today was naive.

I think partly a great job by Nuno, but also a terrible job by Cooper, who’s arse was put out of joint by being told he had 736284 players to organise in training, none of whom he was consulted on.
