Yep agree with all of that - I also think that they are having the season of their dreams which happen very so often when anything that can go right does nevertheless it’s still a solid improvement from one season to the nextThey have improved massively, but they aren’t Brazil, or even the mighty Leeds. They surrender possession and counter. It’s basic stuff, and if they stop winning, they will scream for the manager out because ugly football has to be winning football. They have a striker few teams would touch who is performing better than anyone in the country, bit of pace out wide, and MGW who I think is a fantastic if very annoying footballer. Lost their best CB in the warmup, and made zero difference due to depth, even if they aren’t all household names.
They might not have the big names, but they have some very good players, and pace. 2nd place is rediculous, but expecting anything other than a very tough game today was naive.
I think partly a great job by Nuno, but also a terrible job by Cooper, who’s arse was put out of joint by being told he had 736284 players to organise in training, none of whom he was consulted on.
Apologies I meant 12th. Who do you think we’re better than that’s above us?He said 12th, not 10th. Which is where we finished last season.
yea, takes zero responsibility. Not exactly an inspirational leadership qualityAnd constantly gaslighting everyone by telling them what a hard job he’s got. Never heard him acknowledge he’s made a mistake or got things wrong. It’s always the ‘noise’ or the players.
With this manager, it's impossible to know, we've been gaslit into accepting 17th as our level.Apologies I meant 12th. Who do you think we’re better than that’s above us?
We barely tread water each summer, at best.
and it seriously could have been 10Took Liverpool an hour today to score the amount we have in over 2 months.
Benitez for all his faults is a better manager than Dyche.I'd have Walker, Fatpigman and Lampard below him.
Not for us. The absolute worst manager of Everton in their history all told. The fact that he was even hired in the first place is a shameful moment in our history.Benitez for all his faults is a better manager than Dyche.
Critical now the Friedkins ignore the media narrative. The media sees us as plucky, staid emblems of a bygone era. We should know our place and accept the game has moved on without us. Our role was to preserve the local entrepreneur as owner model and be grateful for it. We were to be the soul in a soulless game - but we were to give up any pretence of competitiveness. So while they could fawn over the Sky Six and feel dirty about it, we could remind them of tradition, Englishness, and…hopelessness. It’s the clubs fault for agreeing to pay him that kind of salary.
When he leaves , the level of gaslighting will take on new levels
I can just imagine “Carra laa” on the Overlap
“Wha do the fans want, you hound all these managers out and he was doing a great job”
The stone henge headed meff would lose his mind if Dyche was churning out that kind of performance for Liverpool.
