2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

?

No twist.

I still long for the day we don't have Dyche as manager. My view is he's done a good job, a great job with the circus he's been in.

But we remain relegation fodder no matter the manager.

Dyche has got us to new owners with our head afloat. The guy in your avatar now has to progress us and that needs money. Now.
Agree with all but the bold, but the manager choice needs to be spot on and that's what concerns me.

What is it about Sean Dyche that makes people defend him so much? Silva, Lampard, Koeman all sacked for much less. Yes there are circmunstances but in any circumstances 3 wins in half a season is absolutely vile. Also we reinforced in the summer but he has mishandled all of the signings bar Mangala and Ndiaye.

I'm asking how many teams you think the players would start for - forget the manager. It's to ascertain how highly you rate the players we have who we're relying on to create or score our goals.
Half of them don’t start for us, its
all manger dependent. I doubt young plays for any other prem team because he’s 39 and can’t really attack. 6 or 7 would be regulars or in around the first team of the bottom 10.

I was thinking about this a lot. Must be some sort of Stockholm syndrome after years of stress and constant media chatter that we should be grateful for the likes of Allardyce, Benitez and Dyche.

He can be thanked and sacked.

Regardless of your thoughts on our players and we do have weaknesses in the squad. If you genuinely think our players standard is just fifteen goals? And TWO home wins all season. You need your eyes tested.

Also I will leave it here Steve Cooper had Forest below us last season , two signings and good coaching and set up later and Forest are in the top four and whilst they have spent more and more wisely than us in recent seasons, that's also the difference, a manager who improves players and who has an effective attacking gameplan beyond get ten men behind the ball and leather it to one isolated forward, can make.

So why are you furiously batting away anyone suggesting that he should be sacked and firing a load of excuses at them???

My view is sacking the manager alone doesn't take us away from struggling.

I had the same view with Lampard, here and here, like so before Dyche was ever here;

I do feel for him as I've bored everyone since the summer - I think most managers would relegate us because we don't have the goals, or even the threat of goals in the team to make us competitive/keep us up. The club, the board, they've all let him and Everton down.

Calvert-Lewin 21 goals under a good manager.

Calvert-Lewin 2 goals under a very bad manager.

The end.

Digne, Richarlison, Sigurdsson, Rodriguez, Gomes, a much younger Coleman etc all helped a fair bit too.

Players who can cross a ball, or play one forward.
