2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

We should be comfortably better than the three promoted teams imo. As bad as that is, if it's correct, it should be enough to see us safe.

Soton are not in the equation, I think we'll finish above Leicester so Ipswich are the big danger.

They've beaten Spurs and Chelsea recently as we know. We don't look like getting comparable results anytime soon.

This is where the problem lies. I see it as a deterioration on last season and would argue that at the beginning of this season, we were better placed to maintain last year's points total without the deductions.

So what has happened? Dyche has to answer for that. Keep him and we might stay up. But I'm certain now it will be touch and go and that we are better served by fresh impetus.

When he becomes a free agent in the next couple of weeks we’ll see who comes in for him. I think we’ll see him doing a fair bit of punditry from now until the end of the season.
Think that is him for now will be linked to jobs at the bottom if he doesnt price himself out of it.

He has lost the attacking threat we did have which relied heavily on Doucoure pressing and popping up with goals, Doucs has lost a yard so doesn't offer much beyond being another worker in midfield. So after trying something different with Tim (when Branthwaite wasn't there) in the middle and us falling apart against Bournemouth he panicked he has gone ultra cautious at the cost of any attacking threat. Our fullbacks are just deep, our wingers are like secondary full backs, we have little threat on the wings, our number nine (whoever it is) is isolated with no runners off them. DCL lost confidence fluffing any one on ones he has had, surprises me he has never tried two up front or Broja off Dom might be an option since that was his Burnley tactic, why he thinks 451 every week works for us when it mostly doesn't attack wise is beyond me. Also issue is while Dyche's ultra caution stabilised us with some draws it is not enough to win games and he is utterly clueless on how to change it. He needs to find a way or we aren't winning many games going forward.

Bit of a pointless exercise but ok.

Harrison 5
Doucoure 1
Mykolenko 3
Young 0
McNeil 5
Lindstrom 3
NDiaye 8
Calvert-Lewin 3
Broja 5
Beto 0
Patterson 6

Now who has emailed/tweeted you from the club?

Harrison starts for 5 teams? Wow.

And Patterson, 6?!

That's 5 players you have there who you think would start for more than 3 teams. 1 of them has only just become fit.

Interesting.

And what do you mean Everton tweeting or emailing me you absolute fruit loop

Can’t see what the wait is, it’s like clown kecks all over again,
He knows and everyone else knows that it’s inevitable.
Just pull the trigger so we can get behind the new manager and the club can finally become more cohesive.

Not scoring goals has been the reason we've been fighting relegation before Dyche.
2 of the last 3 years Wolves have scored less than us, but finished above us and were not in danger of relegation by winning 7 more games than us with 8 less goals scored
They might be the exception to the rule but yesterday you showed a graph plotting better defensive records over attacking records as being better for survival in defence of Dyche. So when we do well defensively it's Dyche, but when we do poorly in attack it's the players?

Still unsure if it is only investment you are fighting for here or do you actually want Dyche to stay?

Tell you what this has been a twist that M. Night Shyamalan would be proud of.

?

No twist.

I still long for the day we don't have Dyche as manager. My view is he's done a good job, a great job with the circus he's been in.

But we remain relegation fodder no matter the manager.

Dyche has got us to new owners with our head afloat. The guy in your avatar now has to progress us and that needs money. Now.

Why were you so desperate to sack him at the final whistle if it won’t make a difference until we buy a new squad?
