2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Fat Sam had a much better squad to work with, and some money to spend.
Not sure he had a much better squad. he did spend 50m but on Walcott and tosun. And McNeil has better end product than Walcott with Harrison fairly similar last season, and of these striker options which would you prefer?

Tosun, Niasse, 20 year old DCL,
Or
27 year old DCL, broja, Beto?

I won’t even get into martina, ageing jagielka, Williams, Keane, holgate, Kenny in defence.

Allardyce much better than manager results wise than Dyche and I can’t stand Allardyce.

"Sean, were the signings of Beto and O'Brien made with your blessing? Did you work together with Kevin Thelwell to identify these two as players that would improve the starting XI this season? With funds seemingly limited, fans are asking why £30m pounds was spent on two players that are clearly far down the pecking order when there are numerous glaring holes in the squad - what would you tell the fans about that?"

I really wonder the no journalist has put any such question to the manager. Unless they've specifically been told they're not allowed to ask) for some peculiar reason) then it's a really obvious topic to ask about.
£30m???

We have committed to pay more like £40m for these players, £15m for O`Brien and £25m for Beto.

Get Dan to tell him we are filming a new promo video, get him into the spitfire that Friedkin flew in the movie, only stick enough fuel in it to take off and fly him over anfield.

Gets rid of that horror stadium and saves us having to pay Dyches contract off at the same time

Well if you compare Allardyce Bolton with Dyche Burnley, Big Sam etablished Bolton in the top half back then.

Good morning Benidorm, rise and shine and let’s get ready for another low IQ day of objectifying Sean Dyche as a piñata for your own low self worth, and electric likes from fellow low IQ mouth breathers.1.50€ a pint of Carling lads, in this the darts crowd thread of GOT
Here he is, punching down again.

Last season I wanted Dyche into BMD (because I thought keeping our worst squad in decades up for three seasons merited that). Now I don't think he has the methods and tactics to take advantage of that opportunity.

Two reasons...
  1. I sort of fear he's losing the squad with tactics that are failing to improve the team and or individuals
  2. Quite a few of the squad aren't really a threat at this level.
Dyche's 'USP' of upping our physicality and grit etc (which has undoubtedly helped us retain Premier League status thus far) will go quickly if we lose that togetherness he did help achieve in Seasons 1 & 2.
My question / concern is do we have enough in the tank today to see us through to the end of season, or do we act now?

Acting in this window gives a new manager opportunity with half the season to fix tactics (point 1 above) with a window to fix some of the issues with point 2).

Or we back Dyche with a striker, winger that can cross and full back.

Relatively speaking it was a miles better squad, it's not even close. We finished 7th before the season he was here and 8th the season after he left, it was very much a top half squad in the context of the league at the time. The highest we've finished in the last 5 years is 10th.
